Do not let an officer into your home. If you can, try to talk to them through the door without opening it, as well. If you open it, they may try to stick their foot in the doorway to stop you from closing it. @Spleenatron9 hiya spleen hope this can help! I have an adt system when we lock it up at night and open a door when it's locked it contacts the police after the alarm is activated (regardless for how long the system is activated) , they are most likely using a system similar to adt to represent the alarm system here , most likely the alarm system was being set off so much the police were starting to get suspicious from the constant setting off of the alarm and went to do a welfare check. Police officers are allowed to do welfare checks with a reasonable suspicion , she also mentions there should be two people here and not one which gives her a probable cause to search the home . A mouse does not trip up an alarm like this regardless if the wires are able to be pulled through the walls. The system actually has to trip up from the mainframe which is the screen that holds the actual alarm, some alarms are also charger powered which means they are powered solely off of a cord that runs through the garage , a mouse would have to chew through the cords to get the system to react , and the reaction would just be the alarm system losing its charger , so it's not really realistic for a mouse to be tripping up a alarm like this.

So i guess I can be the paragraph gal. The police officer is doing a security alarm check at a house of a couple. On reaching the house lady tells her that there seems to be an issue with the alarm causing it to trigger again and again. The police officer gets suspicious of the woman’s behaviour, as she is trying to convince her to leave despite the alarm triggering again. The police lady checks on the resident information and ask the lady about her husband, to which the house lady replies that his husband has gone out. The police lady notices the alarm is coming from the downstair bedroom which she goes in to check. The house lady becomes very uneasy. When police lady enters the room where the alarm is triggered she sees a large freezer, she suspected that she would probably find the husband in it, but on opening it there is only vegetables no meat!(not the husbands body). Police lady notices the trigger on the window is loose which she tightens, but the alarm goes off again immediately, she gets suspicious that someone is trying to communicate with her through the alarm. Suspecting a hidden room, she calls for backup and tear down the wall, only to find out, the almost dead husband stuffed in the wall. The wife murbers her husband and stuff him in the wall thinking he is dead, which he is not. The dead husband was pulling on the wire of the trigger which was going through the wall hence literally sending alarm signals in distress, and that saves his life. This is from a show called 911, season 4 episode 8. The episode is about broken things. How even broken things can prove to be lifesaving.

Are those eyes of Angela Bassett? She's been around since - what, early 2000s, or 1990s - she is still young and stunning and hasn't changed (OK maybe the haircut)!! Beautiful expressive eyes!! 👀 I'd have to find this episode to see the rest: "where the husband is" - OR where the wife dumped him. EDIT - according to other posts - show is 911 : supposedly season 4 episode 8.

If I ever met Angela Bassett I'd tell her this "Mighty Regalla, Strongest and most Feared of all Tenakth. I pledge my Sword, my Bow and my Life to you. May we strike down our enemies and make them tremble at the mere sight of our Arrows." That's right people Athena Grant is also Regalla from Horizon Forbidden West.

When you watch the episode with closed caption on, it says "pounding in the wall" between dialog. So Athena heard him pounding, for me it was really hard to hear. I wouldn't have known without the captions.

“My husband insisted” using past tense even though he’s on a trip normally you would refer to ur spouses odd habits in present tense “my husband always insists on…” Little detail

It’s past tense because the freezer is already full. The action of that decision is in the past, so using past tense is proper.

If the husband only insisted in the past, even if he's alive, it would still be past tense. He no longer has to insist, as they've clearly stocked up. So he stopped insisting, there for he insisted.

Of course the wife talking about her husband in the past tense “insisted we” was a major clue that she may have done something to him.
@Maxxy03
Ай бұрын
Not necessarily, they have the rations already so it was likely planned beforehand, and she also mentioned that he was “away”. If it was spoken in present tense, then he would have been right in the room or on the phone, etc. Otherwise using past tense is really the only correct way to say it, even if it had happed just a few minutes ago. :)

with an alarm system like that, you are also giving them permission to enter the property when it is activated, denial constitutes reasonable suspicion to enter with force and check further. something like this, will get you a fine for multiple false alarms. (my job got one because customers were constantly pulling on a door and setting the alarm off at 3am)
