Wildlife along UK rivers can be amazingly rich and diverse, and that is definitely true for the River Waveney on the Norfolk and Suffolk border in East Anglia. In this video I follow a section of the Angles Way long distance path from the town of Beccles to the village of Geldeston, taking a look at the landscape and discovering some of the wildlife that lives in the areas around the river and both above and beneath the waters surface.
Expect common species such as Pied wagtails and Buzzards, but also rare animals such as a Cuckoo being fed and an aquatic creature I have never seen before.
This video was produced to promote the area and the walking routes through Norfolk and Suffolk's wetlands on behalf of the Water, Mills and Marshes project. If you would like to find out more about the work they are doing to enhance and promote the broads landscape, here is their website: watermillsandmarshes.org.uk/
