People who say this story is boring just don't understand the symbolic meanings to it. Which there is a lot of.

Far less boring if you understand the underlying themes and the allegorical function of the journey. Think about it. Why is she called "Phoenix"? Does this have anything to do with the fact that her grandson is compared to a baby bird in his appearance? Yes, it does.

Saying that is proof Your mind is too infantile to understand how well it’s written. Reread it when you get older and you might appreciate it, hopefully..

The English Man My classmates and I have to read this story over the weekend. We are currently learning about the Great Depression. Therefore, this story has some features of the Great Depression.

Brown Brown it’s like a hero’s journey, she goes through obstacles that she has to overcome and when she forgot why she was there it was like her low point and than rose up like a Phoenix when she remembered, it’s been a few years since I read it in middle school but I think that’s what it meant, theres other stuff but I don’t remember

This is a dumb question. But Does anyone know what the narrator thinks about the characters and the events?
