@@aplynch030399 because it was something that was required on the American and Australian railway not the British tornado wasn't supposed to have the chime either but it was a requirement from network rail

@@jackstrains1569yeah he had one when he was under Marchington’s ownership then some time in NRM’s ownership and he used it to Scarborough Spa Express and got taken off when it went in 10 years overhaul

@@jackstrains1569 When Scotsman went to Australia and America she had a Nathan 6 chime whistle on it I think, along with a bell, in Australia they put also put Nathan 6 chime whistle off SAR 621 in Adelaide which was attached to the left hand side of the footplate, there's footage of it at Somerton level crossing on the Seymour line sounded amazing
