I was a Plane Captain, PQS qualified Mechanic and turn operator, Eventually a CER Mech on J52's. I loved the Scooter, one of the Navy's great aircraft. Heinemans Hot Rod :)

@Dmitri Kozlowsky thanks for the information. That's what I was kind of wondering about whether Argentina was able to use a A4s against harriers (in extreme situations) in the Falklands conflict.

I love those old marketing videos! The scenes of assembling the aircraft show a lot of details that I haven't seen since I worked on them (VMAT-102 A-4Ms and TA-4s). I'm not sure I agree about it being easy to access stuff for maintenance, but these are marketing videos, and they are being compared to older aircraft, not the stuff we have now. Thanks for sharing these!

Flew 5 models of the ‘dog’(TA-4, A-4E, F, F+, M). Humiliated many a Viper and Eagle(and Turkey) driver with it. Great, honest little jet.

After I watched this video, I made sure when I left my weightlifting gym to stop over at the old and closed down (BRAC’d) NAS Willow Grove base. Out front they still have an area fenced off with old aircraft and one of them is the mighty A-4.

That’s one of the last active A-4 units. I believe the commander tried his best to get over to Desert Storm his men were pumped to go. But higher ups nixed the request

I a Filipino will make the Philippine military great again to become a tiger it once was with my education in Europe and use it in the Philippines I can make a difference

37:17. I would kiss the pilot. Definitely kiss the pilot. If aircraft is on fire, canopy ejection failed and canopy stuck half way, and pilot has already pulled face curtain. The seat can go at any time for any reason, unless safed. But chances of doing so safely in midst of aircraft on fire , unconcious pilot, and whateverelse, is small. So definitely kiss the pilot. It may be the last kiss he receives, and the last kiss I would give. So I am kissing.
