The days when Aaliyah took tf over MTV..I remember she STAYYYYED on MTV lol..she always had her own sit down type specials. I remember if it wasn't Aaliyah, it was Michael Jackson...they STAYYYYED showing us some them and I will always cherish it...these was the good ole days when it was worth not being outside lol bc who stayed watching music videos, MTV, VH1 and BET was me. I also couldn't wait to get the next issue of Word Up, Fresh, Black Beat, Jet, Honey and Ebony Magazines...ugh I miss these days. Gone are those and her and it's all sad when you think about it. My God times definitely came and went and it has changed. Nothing is the same anymore. RIP Aaliyah

So many reasons why I luv this video. First off, Aaliyah was stunning. But I luv how wen u see her, u see the truu essence of wat us Midwest Girls really are. The swag, the accent, the humility and the round the way girl vibe. How we looked and dressed. This is wat the world grew to luv about her. And alot of us(MidWest Chiccs) are like this. She made us proud. Also, the shoutout to Chicago along wit the stepping. She gav a glimpse of wat we do and how we get down. This video was refreshing to watch. Even tho it was such a long time ago, it still resignates wit our MidWest culture today. Great times those were.... the 90's. And I'm proud to be a 90's baby and she is so missed!
