@Imani Alexander singing live was something artists were proud of. Thats a major reason why people watched variety shows, late night shows, talk shows, awards shows, etc. Especially people considered real or good artists. Black vocalist were phenomenal live artists. It helped arsenio and its showtime at the apollo. Thats why milli vanilli and the simpson sister faced so many backlash. Their presumed live vocals werent live. By the 80s soul train stopped live weekly vocals alltogether. Btw, there IZZ a difference between a untruth, mistake, or mispeaking. (Unless ur referring to the #lies tagline tamarbraxton uses)

It's called genetics. But people can be so cruel. Wish I would have just owned it like her. On a side note, I never realized that she had a vampire obsession. It's still hard to believe that she is gone. RIP Aaliyah! I met her shortly after this and she was so kind and sweet. A true artist

There is no other female performer like her. Others have imitated her but not equal as her. One of her other gift is that she was the valedictorian of her high school graduation. Aaliyah gone but not forgotten. RIP. 👏🏽🙏🏾💃🏻

I swear I tried to learn ALL her dances!🥰 Aaliyah was definitely the best and ahead of her time, so sad her life was snatched the way it was!🥺

I’m so glad we have a lot of videos, photos, interviews etc of her because then we can always see her when we miss her! It’s bitter sweet but it’s better than nothing at all!!
