I just finished watching the episode with Aaron. Very impressive interview.-articulate, well prepared and comfortable. And from his very proud mother, I can tell you that his dedication was ALWAYS perfection. His passion was and is what drove him. I had NO doubt when he drove out of the driveway that he would be successful ( I also knew that Dave Mayhew would keep an eye on him.). It is great that you are sharing with the younger skaters the stories of those "legends" that started it all..

Surprised they didn't mention the Big Brother article where a San Diego local watched Snyder trying to land a sw varial flip sw nosegrind for a sequence ad. They were flipping in and sliding a bit but couldn't land it so they just started filming fakie 5-0s and then spliced the photos together to make it look like they landed the sw varial flip nosegrind and used it for an ad.

He had the first fakie five-0 flip three flip Id seen at the time. Im sure he wasnt the first but it may have been the cleanest. Smolik hadnthe first kickflip back tail kickiflip and back tail big flip. After watching Best of 411VM, and seeing MJ with the flip out tricks, the progression of skating skyrocketed. Now, nothing surprises me. It really is like a video game. Technique has been perfected and even the most difficult tricks come out flawless. Any little imperfection will have you scrapping footage or running back to do another.
