This can be a beautiful car! I had a bout of nostalgia a few weeks ago and posted up some old vids of my ‘89. Now looking at other vids and yours isn’t helping me - I miss my ‘Stang! 😂 Enjoy the car and I’m glad to see you are trying to get it back on the road.

Not to rain on Your parade but You need to check the frt. frame rails and shock towers for rust and rot also that radiator core support , floor pans and cowl . Most of the panels are available from the aftermarket . Looks like a great project for restoration or a restomod ! Best Wishes & Best of Luck . 🇺🇸🇵🇷🦊👍 P/S please keep Us updated Thank You.

I haven’t gotten a good chance to inspect the floor boards, but being that it sat in the woods for 5 years, I’m assuming they’re gone. Unfortunately the frame is going to have to be patched up and reinforced. And I’m most likely going weld on tube front end. I’m definitely going to try and document everything with this project!

I thought about putting my Harley up for a trade on something like this. I already have a 2006 GT with 345k miles on it.

When I graduated in 1985 I wanted a bright red 5 speed 85 GT,,, drove one once and also a black 85 LX 5.0 5 speed notchback. Finally got a 5.0 4 speed Pace Car in 1987 and had it 2.5 years.

You know it’s mk4 all day every day….. But I get that money is tight, and you have a life outside of making strangers on the internet happy. You have a gift for fixing cars and you clearly are passionate about what you do, so I am here for it… whatever IT is. Still love to see a new mk4 project though….

I really appreciate the feedback and positive support man! Comments like this are what keep me wanting to just keep doing what I love to do! Hopefully someday when finances level back out there will be another mk4 build that’ll stay in the collection for once 😂

Thanks buddy! I really appreciate the positive feedback from you & everyone! Honestly. The goal for the fox is to street/slide it, but we’ll see where it goes over time. We all know life is always throwing curve balls at us.

Heck yeah! I’m literally obsessed. It’s going to be a huge handful to fix up, but it’ll be worth it in the end!
