I stayed at the Hotel in it's last year as the Hyatt for a High School convention. When it closed down we ended up moving it to Tampa the next year. Incredible to see it's still there, and still closed.

Wow, this place looks dated. When you passed by the paper that was dated '93 I thought yeah, closing in '93 looks pretty believable. But I was surprised when you mentioned later that this place was operating in some form through the 2010s. It's no wonder they had a hard time attracting enough people. Great video.

Hey man, nice job on the video. This is the first one of yours I've seen, and subscribed. Great back story and information, nice slow camera work, and great respect for the place. Just a little recommendation, if it's possible, turn up your real time commentary, or, lower the volume of your voiceover commentary. The levels were very different so I had to keep fighting my volume to keep a happy medium.

There's just something fun about watching an exploration video about an abandoned place you know

When I see a place like this I really wonder why at the time the items inside weren't liquidated and sold off. Maybe they always thought they could sell the property and include the buildings contents but the value would just keep decreasing. When the place first closed some of it would have been of value (kitchen appliances, furniture, refrigerator units, AC units, etc.)

IM A BIG FAN OF YOU GUYS!!! So alittle info the truck infront of it are squaters. They called the cops on me when me and my friends went to explore the place.( Dont worry though you wont get caught unless you do sum stupid like what we did) we peaked are heads at one of there powered buildings to see the exit signs aluminating and then the hallway lights turn on...we were in the top floor we ran down to see a lady get in her car and chase us.. we ran after that. There were like 5 cops waiting near the exit/enterance and when they caught us they explained that they the squatters called and the cops said they been trying to get them out but its conplicated. Probably cause of squaters rights they technically live there so they need to be evicted but they cant get ahold of Orlando Sun Resort and the cops cant treaspass you becauss there needs to be someone to enforce it like the owners and if they cant get ahold of the owners to treaspass you they let you go. Thats what this nice cop did. Warned us about the squatters and told us to find more safer places to explore. Oh and That building the squatters are staying in actually HAS power! It's the only building in the hotel that has power. I have no idea how but yeah if you come at night you can see the building lights. How they managed to turn the power on I have no idea.. me and my friends love exploring this hotel at night. We usually spend all night in it just going through the ball room and the giant rooms. We found the sweet and it's huge. We stay there all night messing around. Little scared to go peeking through the rooms but the main buildings are awesome at night with a flashlight. Also i want everyone to know we do not bandalize.
