Wow I built a bridge up there in the 80's at the very end of the road while working with John Langly Construction. The bridge was quite large and was constructed to allow large trucks access to the forest. A beautiful place. well worth a visit people.

If you're exploring hunting territory and a forest, best to wear an orange hat or vest. What a beautiful place to have an adventure!

Happy New Year! We had a Sabco carpet sweeper in the 1970s that looked like that one. So glad that you legged it once you heard the gun shots. I laughed when you were saying in one moment that you didn't want a stray bullet in the back of your head and a few seconds later stopped and said, "Look at this wee hinge".

Sad to see the Whitehaugh cottage "bothy" in such a state having had grand weekend stays in it 38 & 39yrs ago. Had a sentry box toilet @ the rear where you cold wave to drivers passing on the main road (before the forestry) 👋while sitting on the throne of destiny 💩& it was said to be haunted of which there was strange sightings by those with me @ the time 👻or 🤪🍾

On the whole, I enjoyed that. It would have been nice to have had a better look inside the bigger white house. There also seemed to be a glimps of a circle of stone on the floor of the first ruined house - a black house?
