The time is finally here, the Mexico border crossing. Before that though, theres time for an adventure. When I was up north, I got to spend a lot of time on the water, and I love my time on the water. Especially with my Swellfish boat. Since heading south, I havent had any chances to get out in the boat yet, until today. We have been following along the Colorado River now for quite some time, and I just cant take the temptation any longer. We launched at Fisher's landing, outside of Yuma and made our way up the Colorado River. This section of the river is so beautiful and healthy, and in this boat you can really get around easily because it is so light. The Colorado is full of sand bars, and that can make things very challenging, but it's no problem with my boat.
I have explored this section of river once before, so I knew a couple of secret spots to check out, one of which being the Watchman's cabin. This is a really neat spot because you have to go right through a hole in the reeds to access it. We explored the mountains and mine shafts a little, then it was back to the river.
The Colorado River is famous for its Bass fishing, but unfortunately I don't know the first thing about Bass fishing, so I did not get into any fish. All in all this was an amazing day exploring, and just the relax I needed before the long awaited Mexico border crossing. If you're looking for an adventure boat, this thing will not let you down. I have put a lot of hours on this boat now and it has been amazing. Check it out here: swellfish.co/D...
Coming up to the border, I was feeling a little nervous, but only because of all the comments on previous videos, and seriously it was no problem at all. The woman at the crossing was very nice, and very patient with my bad Spanish. We crossed a little later than I hoped, and had to drive a little in the dark, but we made it to San Felipe safe and sound.
I am so so excited to start exploring here in Mexico, and sharing it all with you.
I know I haven't uploaded as frequently in the past three weeks, but I have taken a little much needed time to reset and enjoy some company. This lifestyle is so amazing, but it gets tiring trying to create every day. I am re energized and ready for this new chapter. I want to give a big thanks to my Patrons for your nice messages and comments over the past couple of weeks. Here in Mexico the wifi seems to be more reliable than what I was experiencing in the USA, so I should be able to keep you all updated far more often.
