Thank you very much for the method. It really works.

Mostafa Ismail after the damage of the glue between blocks , the blocks will have a friction I think, so, I think you should define tangential behaviour also .

Thanks a lot for the video. Really well explained. My question is will the same procedure of defining the cohesive surface interaction work if we have a general static step instead of a dynamic explicit one?

Thanks for your helpful video! I have a question that does the fake property work in the simulation? Or both of them works?

Thanks for the interesting video but how I can model crack propagation in two attached members with and the crack started in the first member and is going perpendicular through the adhesive layer and finally propagate in the second member

Thank you for video. can you please provide more details of damage criteria details(ref.) how we can take Knn,Ktt etc values.

First of all, very much thankful for the video. What kind of Step have you used in this? Because While submitting the job I am getting error message saying cohessive behavior cannot be used if interaction property is global contact property in general explicit model

Is cohesive behavior only for Dynamic Explicit analysis ? or can we use for static general analysis also ?

Hi Mostafa, I am getting error that "The interaction "Int-1" references a contact property (CohesiveProp) that contains the damage or cohesive behavior option. These options cannot be specified with General contact (Std) interactions. Ok to continue with the input file generation ? "

Hi Mostafa, Why you defined contact pair between the 2 blocks and not tie constraint ? There appears to be sliding contact between the 2 blocks. But what if we have a composite structure which needs tie between the sandwiched layers. Do we still use the general contact in that situation or can we use this fake property even in tie constraint ? Regards,

hi, my friend, i need making the mode soil and appear some problem THE SLAVE SURFACES ASSEMBLY_S_SURF-14 AND ASSEMBLY_S_SURF-12 INTERSECT EACH OTHER. THEY ARE PAIRED WITH MASTER SURFACES ASSEMBLY_M_SURF-16 AND ASSEMBLY_M_SURF-12 THAT ALSO INTERSECT EACH OTHER. IF BOTH PAIRS ARE *CONTACT PAIRs, THESE TWO PAIRS SHOULD NOT BE SIMULTANEOUSLY PRESENT IN A STEP BECAUSE OF POSSIBLE CONVERGENCE PROBLEMS; USE *MODEL CHANGE,TYPE=CONTACT PAIR TO REMOVE ONE OF THEM. IF BOTH ARE *TIE PAIRS, THE REDUNDANT TIES WILL BE REMOVED AUTOMATICALLY. IF ONE PAIR IS *TIE AND ANOTHER IS *CONTACT PAIR, REMOVE ONE OF THEM.
