This is not from their 1941 movie BUCK PRIVATES. Although they did do this routine in that movie. This is from the COLGATE COMEDY HOUR from the early 1950s.

costello was a jersey boy. in patterson n.j. there is a statue of him-not in a park but there are trees around it with a plaque with his name on it. and he's wearing his little derby hat that i'm sure didn't come from the susquwana hat company. lol

This isn't from the Buck Privates movie which was 1941.....this is MUCH later (mid to late fifties) and from a TV special....they are much older here and the routine, while good, isn't as great as the movie version.

Crazy fact: Hirohito ordered Japanese military schools to screen several sequences of Buck Privates in an Anti American Propaganda way to show how weak and incompetent the American soldiers were. One of the scenes that were screened was a sequence where Lou Costello is shown disobeying the orders of a drill Sargent like marching the wrong way or blaring loud music at night.

This is not the Buck Privates movie of 1941. B-47’s on the flight line. This is early to mid 1950’s. Another giveaway is the high contrast video tape. Not shot in film. Also the timing between the two isn’t as good.
