I can't belive my luck. I came to this movie because I was looking for a tv movie that aired around the same time, about a woman who was trying to tell people there was a girl buried alive, but I couldn't remember the title. I remember watching "When Michael Calls", but didn't remember the movie I was looking for aired the following week. Thank you for posting the promo for "The Screaming Woman".

Those moving graphics at the beginning coming out of a vanishing point, wow! Great memories. They're commonplace now. But in the early 70s they struck me as so futuristic. I'm curious how they did them. Was it even possible to do digitally, on a mini computer? I know a few years later in the original Star Wars they did the opening crawl using physical text printed on storyboards laid out on the floor.

It's like being 9 years old again! I remember watching "The Screaming Woman", too. Of the 3 networks it was ABC that did the best made-for-tv thrillers.

I was very young when ABC ran these movies. They were very diverse & original. Many are etched in my mind, namely BRIAN'S SONG, taught me all about sad movies. NIGHT STALKER for chills. At that age it was DARK SHADOWS with COLOR and OOMPH!! & a movie called BAD RONALD. I was at THAT kids age and we were getting ready to move, and that flick gave me se sleepless nights & bad dreams!! GREAT STUFF!!!!

“Auntie my Helen……I’m Dead!” Watching this as a 9 year old, it frightened the daylights out of me. Must have been at least a week before I even considered picking up a ringing phone.

My sister and I still laugh because this movie spooked us when we were 8 and 6 years old. Now we have a lot of laughs over this 52 year old movie.

This is one of the best openings for a program ever. The movies were pretty good too, not like the laughable made for TV movies they have now. Bad Ronald was a classic.
