Golovkins DAZN deal is worth 100 million, Abel wanted 10%. They offered him 2 million, 2 million for a trainer is very good money. Most trainers would be lucky to earn that in their entire career let alone for 4-5 fights. Abel got gready and that's why he's not GGGs trainer, simple.

Although I agree that 10 Million is definitely too much for a 6 fight deal I still believe Abel Sanchez deserved 5 Million at the bare minimum. I know Abel did send them a counter offer which we still don't know the amount of that but until we get those details I think its unfair to label GGG or Abel greedy that's a reach we should wait till all the details come out before labeling someone "greedy". In an interview that Abel had with MJP, he say's that he had always gotten a percentage from GGG. But, this time around, GGG offered him a flat fee, instead of a percentage. Which would have been less than Abel usually gets. And Abel said that he wouldn't accept the flat fee that GGG was offering. And he said that this is why they parted way's. To continue to pay 10% on that large of a contract would be stupid. No other trainer gets that much when their fighter is making that amount of money over time. It's smart to adjust his earnings. Is 2% low? Possibly. It wasn't for G. But he must have felt Abel wasn't doing enough to continue those early percentages. Take a look at Abel's roster these past couple years and the losses he's encountered and the fighters who have left. Abel's teaching method is based too much on overall strength and aggression that when opponents find a way to take those attributes away, they look lost and without a "game plan" which Abel never really has. He's notorious for not watching much film and finding habits and tendencies of opponents. All the years of Sanchez spouting off has gotten him to this point. Abel was very fortunate Golovkin landed in his lap. Golovkin was already molded by then, all Abel taught was more aggression. Looking back now, you can tell they didn't work on subtle things. Gennady was, I think, a more complete fighter prior to Sanchez. Long rant but just my 2 cents.

ABEL SANCHEZ accepting Golovkin from Kasajastan to Coach him proof that ABEL SANCHEZ was a successful Trainer, Golovkin wasn't known in USA. ABEL SANCHEZ wen to the airport and picked GGG whit only one little bag and took him to Big Bear. From there Abel not only form a Fighter he form GGG the Mexican style to bring GGG to the most soporting Group in boxing. ABEL SANCHEZ turn himself the voice of Golovkin to the Media... Till now and secured for GGG a place in the hall of fame, and in place to sign the most profitable Contract. So, in the grateful point of view Golovkin didn't show Loyalty to all the Abel Sánchez hard work. Take CANELO! He signed a bigger contract than GGG whit DAZN, still his first words was words to his Trainer's the REYNOSO a he say there are Family. And for Shure he secured the Economical future for them to. Cause any Trainer goal is that... Not get Rich but to have a Future secured after there career ends. ABEL SANCHEZ DESERVED that place to ... Feeling his well appreciate and compensated not for him self only but his family. Its bad this Team ended this Way. GOLOVKIN didn't do the Right thing... Cause was only Money separated this Team.

No offense Abel, you got your $ with the 2 Canelo fights. I think GGG got $60+ mill from both. so that would mean you got $6 mill. I get GGG just signed a $100 deal with DAZN, but you also have to remember that with that deal, he starts up his own promotion, and bringing in fighters. He will become a promoter for younger fighters, and he will be the one paying them. So that money to pay his fighters, will be coming out of that $100 mill. So lets just say he pays his fighters a total of $10 mill over the 3 year span of his DAZN contract? well then he is down to $80 mill. What Abel needs to do is concentrate on new stock of fighters, bc he had GGG and Joe Joyce, they gone. i think he still has Murat Gassiev, who is going up to HW. That would be interesting if Joyce vs Gassiev happens. I know he has Angulo, but he old now. It would have been interesting if Abel got Angulo 10 yrs ago. GGG should have cut ties with Abel a long time ago. Abel has done nothing for GGG as a boxer or his career. good riddance to Abel, ,he is not a good trainer or boxing advisor..

This guy wanted 10 million from Golovkin and at the same time he wants to keep training his other 30 fighters and The Summit, so GGG would pay him millions and he'd have to "share" with 30 others, while it's Golovkin inside the ring risking his life. I'd lowball him too in order to get rid of him. The fact that he told the media hours after GGG vs Canelo 2 that Golovkin might have lost the fight was also a breach of trust, much like when Don Turner after Kovalev vs Ward 2 said Kovalev was "only a puncher". Those kind of things are to be kept inside the "family" and not vent out into the media.

Anyone have the time stamp of where they talk about the split? I enjoy raheem's work but I'm not trying to watch an hour long interview.

Sanchez is being blames by the GGG camp for the Canelo non wins. It's not that GGG is not getting better, it's that he's getting old.

Great interview I got to admit but why is he doing all these interviews? Feels like damage limitation to me. Sanchez is a top coach no doubt but end of the day ggg lost a crucial second fight, instead of taking the L as a team Sanchez pointed to ggg. If I was ggg and I felt like I've reached my limit with Sanchez and wasn't happy with his post fight interviews. I'd go separate ways too. Just happens man. Life goes on. Impressive story and Sanchez does have some valid points

Radio Rahim definitely a legend when it comes to interviews... You can listen to this man ask questions and never get bore... Abel Sanchez usually comes off as an asshole but in this interview he is showing a humble side.

It was about money pure and simple. If Able takes a cut in pay GGG stays put. It had nothing to do with Ables training style or attitude.

LOYALTY is priceless. GGG fan base is majority Mexican. I think GGG decision to fire Abel, the trainer whom has been there from the start, is going to bite GGG on his greedy ass.
