6:02 Just a small clarification, the study of motion such as projectile comes under Kinematics and study of application of force and work comes under Dynamics. When we combine both kinematics and dynamics we get Mechanics. 6:40 Neil Bohr gave this unexplained principle of stable energy orbit to sustain his theory which Rutherford failed to explain. De Broglie actually explained why electrons don't fall into the nucleus as it should because it should emit electromagnetic radiation as a charged particle in circular motion should as kinematically circular motion is an accelerating motion. It should lose energy as EM radiation and fall into the nucleus. He explained that electrons behave as standing waves and standing waves do not exchange energy, they trap it. 13:20 Heavier elements or their isotopes for eg. Ur- 232 , Ur- 235 tend to go under the process of Fission to attain more stability as it increases their 'Binding energy per nucleon' or BPN . More the BPN more the stability. Smaller nucleus such as Hydrogen- 1 and Helium-4 tend to go under fusion as it increases their 'Binding Energy per nucleon'. Binding energy per nucleon allows the each nucleon of the nucleus to be bound tightly and attain stability. Fe or Iron has the highest BPN. Binding energy is simply the energy that is released during a fission i.e. when a nucleus is split it forms two (usually) daughter nucleus which are of different elements and releases some energy. The more the energy is released more stable are the daughter nucleus. If this energy is given back to the daughter nucleus they can reform the parent nucleus. Thus if a more Binding energy is released by a elements with lower no. of nucleons it would mean that the daughter nucleus are super stable and thus the element will prefer to go under fission to attain this stable state. Similarly in fusion when two nucleus combine , they release energy which allows the daughter nucleus formed to attain a low energy state which is preferred by the nucleus.

A brief timeline and the scientists involved in the Development of Quantum Mechanics: 1900 - Max Planck introduces the concept of quantized energy levels to explain blackbody radiation. This marks the birth of quantum theory. 1905 - Albert Einstein proposes the idea of photons (light quanta) to explain the photoelectric effect. 1913 - Niels Bohr introduces the Bohr model of the atom, where electrons orbit the nucleus in quantized energy levels. 1924 - Louis de Broglie proposes the wave-particle duality of matter, suggesting that particles like electrons have wave-like properties. 1925 - Werner Heisenberg formulates matrix mechanics, a foundational theory of quantum mechanics. 1926 - Erwin Schrödinger introduces wave mechanics, another foundational theory of quantum mechanics. This is also the year when Schrödinger's equation is formulated. 1927 - Heisenberg introduces the uncertainty principle, which states that certain pairs of physical properties (like position and momentum) cannot be simultaneously measured with arbitrary precision. Development of the Atomic Bomb: 1938 - Otto Hahn and Fritz Strassmann discover nuclear fission, the process by which an atomic nucleus splits into two smaller nuclei. Lise Meitner and Otto Frisch provide a theoretical explanation for this phenomenon. 1939 - Albert Einstein and Leo Szilard write a letter to President Franklin D. Roosevelt, warning about the potential of nuclear weapons and urging the U.S. to accelerate its own research. 1942 - Enrico Fermi and his team achieve the first controlled nuclear chain reaction at the University of Chicago, marking a significant step towards the development of the atomic bomb. 1945 - The Manhattan Project, led by J. Robert Oppenheimer, successfully tests the first atomic bomb in New Mexico. Later that year, atomic bombs are dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan.

A clarification: it was ‘NOT’ just quantum theory as mentioned in the video, but also Einstein’s Special Theory of Relativity, founded in 1905, which led to the possibility of designing the atom bomb. Albert Einstein derived the famous equation E=mc^2 He showed the connection between the mass (m) of an object and the energy (E) present in it (the object). The object could be as small as an atom or as big as a celestial body. Further, ‘c’ is the velocity of light (3X10^8m/s) in a vacuum. So, it can be seen that enormous energy is inherently present in an object. Therefore, the mass is just a super-concentrated form of energy; mass and energy can change from one form to the other and back again. Energy exists even when no energy (such as heat, radiation or any other form) is added from outside. This insight was used in the design of an atom bomb at the Manhattan Project led by Oppenheimer.

One more bit of background - There was an agreement between scientists community around world especially from Europe, UK & US that they will not help their governments& militaries to produce nuclear weapons. However later it was broken by few scientists. An interesting insight is there on this in Marathi Book- "Barala Daha Kami" by Madhav Nerurkar & Padmaja Pathak. The book is based on historical events that lead to invention of nuclear weapons. May be you can call those authors to shed more light on it.
