Here's a semi improvised jam with the Push2 and my old faithful workhorse - the APC40. I wanted to explore the possibility of using both these Ableton controllers side by side. It definitely helps to have the faders and knobs handy but it took some getting used to. I might try a custom mapping on the APC40 the next time around.
THE SETUP: The first 7 tracks are all percussion with some programmed clips, shaker loops and fills. These are controlled mainly via the APC40. The next 6 tracks are pads, bass, 3 arps and a hang drum. These are controlled and played via the Push2. There are no programmed clips on any on these tracks to start with. That's about it! This track's a bit slow and meandering, but that's how this take turned out! That's the beauty of improvised stuff - it's never the same twice in a row! :)
