Jason, you have been our go to guy since 2017. My brother and I have 4 E46s. 2 years ago my gf bought a 2006 X3 for her daughter and just blew a head gasket. I just got the head machined and about to reassemble it. I honestly would have NEVER done it without your incredible guidance. You just ROCK!!!!

Thank you for all you do Jason. I’m almost done swapping motors in my e46 330ci, while simultaneously doing a new clutch, rms, shifter rebuild, and m56 valve cover swap. None of this would have ever been attempted without your channel. You make it possible for so many of us to own/maintain our own cars. Congratulations on the weight loss and thank you!

Another way to look at the question "are you sick" is are you ok. You've helped a ton of people, and, naturally, they are concerned when you change. It should also go without saying that a KZitem channel should not consume you. But, the world has gotten crazy. Thanks for all you have done and will do in the future. Also, dropping easy/bad habits is hard. Gratz on cooking for yourself!

Hello Jason. I was just digging around youtube about small things i can improve on my acura tl to help me sell it faster, and out of the blue you came up on my mind, so i swung by to see how youre doing. Glad to see the old lady behind you is still there and looking great. I gave up my beloved e46 ci about three years ago (i loved that car but it was becoming difficult to keep up with the demands of a 20 yo car on my slim budget), but i remember the times watching your simply excellent videos and applying your experience, expertise and knowledge in adequately maintaining my car for as little expense as possible, turning my own wrench, and all thanks to you, my friend!! I hope you get to read this and be able to sense the appreciation. I am grateful not merely for the info i got from you (plenty of other folk on youtube, some good some not so much), but especially for your unique way of going about it. Yeah yeah i know it sounds like im sucking your ..... but hear me out, i mean it all. Its the attention to detail. Thats an overused phrase which most of the time is light on weight, not here though. Let me say it this way: in all your outgoing work towards an audience, your success lies in you virtually placing yourself on the other side. What i mean by that? You present things in a way you would expect to be presented of, if you were part of the audience. I cant be wrong about this, i am positive this is the case. And this... is what i appreciate the most about you! Everything else... the camera angles, lighting, patience, perfectionism... its all consequential. Its all "the fruit". I hope you get me right. No, scratch that, i know you'll understand what i mean. Now, as for the new look.. Im happy for you, man! And although i cant keep myself from saying "I cant recognize you bro, what did you do with the 50's kid? You looked better with the weight, haha", im just kidding of course. Kudos for changing lifestyle for the better, i know its not easy, regrettably for many even impossible. All the best to you, brother!! Please dont change, the world is lucky to have you just the way you are! Cheers

Bravo Jason! When you mentioned you didn't want car videos to become a chore, I thought back to a time 20 years ago when a car activity for me was anything but a chore. Before I was into BMWs I owned a number of British cars, culminating in a 1974 MGB-GTV-8. Yes, MG built 2,591 GTs with the Rover V-8 engine. I met the editor of British Car Magazine at a car show and he asked if I wanted to write an article about the car. I jumped at the chance, and it blossomed into a whole series of tech articles on British car maintenance. Those were a joy to write. I could have continued doing them, but the magazine was sold to Classic and Sportscar, and they had their own technical editor. I'm glad I got the chance to write, and the icing on the cake was I got paid $400 for each, which was pretty good for 25 years ago!

Cycling solves all problems, I was a passionate car guy up until my early 40s with flash cars and now I' m 30kgs lighter and ride my Lynskey Backroad Touring Bike from one side of Australia to the other. Immerse yourself in the environment and feel the love of mother nature. Cars are fun creatively speaking and you learn alot but they are also just another vessel that separates you from living in the great outdoors.
