Hi again, Ms Q. I'm in catch-up mode as I was too tight to pay the £14 per day (!!) charge for WiFi access demanded by the operator of the cruise ship I've been on for the past fortnight. Another excellent video in every way (including the humour!). Once again, your narrative style, along with the interviews, puts your work head & shoulders above pretty much everything else. King's Park is an awesome layout. Quote of the day: "a layout has to be entertaining."

I live in Devon and know the Moors View inspiration-area well. He really has hit it squarely on the head, and has the real feel of Tavistock and Dartmoor. You do something (and do it so well) nobody else seems to do - actually interview creators and reveal their inspirations! 'Lake' btw is a Demshire (that's what Devon people speak) word for a stream/small river/wet area, and oddly not for a lake.....and lots of places use the word, 'Silver' is another one!

My local show, with the unexpected bonus of meeting yourself. There was a fantastic array of models, of various scales and era’s, put together by yourself in a very satisfying scale by scale order. There was also a good many fantastic traders, all with items at very keen “priced to sell” prices. Which of course I availed myself of!! All in all a fantastic show, many thanks to all the members of ADMRC for all their hard work.

Brilliant! Have to say, you have an amazing way of putting your content across, keeping it interesting and informative. Much appreciated Dawn.👍 Saw the “Transport Museum” layout at the Portsmouth show last year. Absolutely terrific, the two chaps running it were so enthusiastic and happy (I mean Really Happy) to let my 4 year old great nephew operate the canal barges while they went off for a coffee. Some great ideas in this video to include in my ongoing build. Thanks again for a really well presented production.

I always find local shows more interesting than the bigger exhibitions like Warley or ScotRail. One you don't get pushed about by large crowds and you can always find a good viewing point. This show is a prime example. Well run and presented to the viewing public. And spoilt for choice with some really exceptional layouts, including yours.Congratulations to the team and the hard work on presenting it. Dawn yet again a well presented video with some great highlights to put "meat" into the story. I do however, have one small criticism in that Mr Gs opening comments are a bit over the top.

No; ‘Mr G's’ comments are not over the top. Clearly they are a gentle reminder not to take ourselves too seriously. After a sensible comment to another channel who concluded by mentioning he was off to an exhib., (Why is that so hard to phrase!) I signed-off with ‘Remember to be harmlessly outrageous at the train-show: it helps balance the seriousness and the posturing. Let's all look after each other.’ If I read him aright, he would have understood and got a chuckle out of it. There most certainly are times for seriousness, but few modellers seem to recognise something ‘other’ when they see it. Much opportunity is lost. Generally, however, a bit of levity helps. The person who put together the intro to this segment is very bright: ‘you’ need to be to get away with it; and he did. Very best wishes to you and your team; you do a lot of good. @@modelrailwayquest

Um; Yes. A bloke's place is in the wrong. That 'announcement' re rivet counting was brilliant. While I have your ear, and on a more serous note, might be an idea to emphasise kit and scratch building of locos/rolling stock. The youngsters need to feel shapes forming in their hands; most especially those youngsters and now adults on my mind. It has never been a strength in the artform, at least outside of kit building. I remember A.C.N. Herd, April '67 RM 'Scratchbuilding Diesels, and W.A. Henderson Jan'66 RM 'Brush 4 From Styrene Sheet'. The efforts of them and a hand full of others went way beyond modelling. I never got a chance to thank them. All the best. @@modelrailwayquest

You are absolutely right in that children need to be able to touch and explore shapes and building for themselves. I think it's completely wrong to say that young people aren't interested in model building any more because they're too wrapped up in their phones... maybe it's because as adults we're too busy with work and life to spend time working with them and getting them interested in model building - which requires a lot of time, and patience!

Kings Park is the typical problem of exhibition circuit, it crops up frequently. Whereas what should happen is it does perhaps two or three per year and then people have something to look toward as a purpose of going. There was a glut of shows before Xmas and I saw three layouts at all of them. Show managers should speak to each other that are locally situated. Great video as usual

Looks like a good show. Had a good mix of scales, gauges, locations and eras modelled. Thats what shows should have. Many a time have i gone to a show thats been mainly OO BR steam with one or two other layouts thrown in. Gets a bit 'samey' after a while. Local shows tend to not have the crowds like bigger shows, as someone else pointed out, so you get to see more. Besides, if i wanted to get pushed around by a crowd I'd go to the Download Festival and enter the 'Mosh' pit! 😂
