So much better than Dr. Phil. Drama is kept to a minimum and Jo actually gives advice instead of roasting everyone.

This is so much better than Dr. Phil also it is so much better than The Jerry Springer, Maury Povich, Steve Wilkos, Jenny Jones, Sally Jessy Raphael, Tyra Banks, and Ricki Lake shows. Jo needs to have her own talk show here in the US Produced by Paul Falhaber and distributed by NBCUniversal and have the same format like on Family Matters but filmed in Stamford, CT and carry the same format like in the UK.

My ex told me that if we had kids I would do everything. So I decided I couldn’t have children with a man that was exactly like my father. I came from an abusive home life to being married to the same thing. I got lucky though… after I spilt from ex I met my now husband and he’s awesome a real partner and being with him has help me so much.

It’s so much lighter to go to work than be at home taking care of 3 young kids and chores. At least you get breaks and lunch break at work.

I beg to differ... i think its about equal. My husband works 10 hours a day as a mail carrier he walks 9 miles a day and gets one bathroom break at a circle k on his route. His "lunch break" is him keeping trail mix in a blender bottle so he can get a mouth full while he's walking. His bag is about 50 lbs. He has to deal with dogs and other humans (idk if you heard but mail men have been getting attacked lately because they don't have the stimulus check) I understand children are no cake walk but they do take naps... and as long as you're organized and you train them you'll have an easier time.

Yes indeed! But It’s only in the UK. And the format is better than other tabloid talk shows. Jo Frost uses sofas on her stage like Oprah, Dr. Phil uses tall chairs. And Maury Povich Jerry Springer, Ricki Lake in 1990’s and Geraldo Rivera use traditional chairs like you see in offices

Our kids were in bed by 7:00 until they were much older. They would sleep a full 12 hours or more and my husband and I were free to do whatever we wanted. Children will sleep a very long time each night if they're given the chance, and by "chance", I mean a solid routine where there is tea, bath, stories and prayers. We did it for ourselves but it paid off big time with the children's emotional and intellectual formation.

My mom has always said to me. That my twin and I were in bed at 7 up at 7. Though she said because there were two of us we were happy to babble to each other for another half hour and not scream for her giving her time to get her coffee and stuff. I worked as a Nanny and Au Pair a long time and sleep issues are so common. Which is strange to me as it was a non issue in my house. Staying in your own bed, going to bed when you're told, no drama. I was allowed to read with my bed side light for 20 mins(when i was in grade school) a great wind down routine. All I know is if my mom taught me anything given what I remember from my childhood is sleep routines and feeling safe due to those routines are worth so much. Saves drama for both parents and kids.
@kirstyi7860

@@eb7446 It's so true. It's only an issue if the parents make it one. You and I and my kids played outside with each other. That's a lot more physically exhausting than computer games. I'm so glad my children didn't grow up with a smart phone! We allowed a regular phone to phone home in an emergency but that was that. ...and you're so right about feeling safe when you have a routine that is enforced maybe first of all with discipline, but my children had no probs going to bed at 7. They were knackered anyway! And my husband and I liked having our own time. I used to feel selfish for doing so, but that lasted about a day! They need lots of sleep for their body and brain to develop.

I adopted an 8 year old and her bedtime was 7 lights out at 730. She needed the down time as did I. When she was older she could earn a later bedtime but she rarely did. Most nights she was out before 8 even as a middle schooler.

Kirsty I I made mistakes with my kids but one thing I did right was have my kids on a schedule. Dinner at a certain time, bath after, when they were babies I’d give a warm bottle and jammies, a cuddle and let them fall asleep themselves so they learned to self soothe. They slept 8 to 10 hours from 3 weeks old. I had friends who had kids that got up multiple times a night and every one of them said they had NO evening routine. Kids do love structure. They need it.

Aspen Love I can do relate to your post! My ex would refuse to work for long periods of time (up to a year at a time, several times) we started having serious problems and one day we talked about splitting and he said “I’d like to see you try and be a single parent, you’ll never make it” I said “I’m the only one working, taking care of 2 kids and doing all the cooking, cleaning, shopping. I already am a single parent and if you leave I’ll have one less person to take care of!” I never heard that out is him again. He knew I was right. He was two busy playing video games 16 hrs a day and going out with friends. His mother never allowed him to grow up. We divorced 14 years ago and he still doesn’t work and lives with his mom.

HELPFUL HINT: Men, women often are standoffish because you get a kiss and want a grab then try for a better grope and so on. If she feels like a cuddle please note the cues to stop your advances so she can feel safe in your arms. Granted this may take awhile for her to trust that process. Women, if you feel like he pressures you, tell him in DETAIL what that does to you. Naturally all discussions about this need to be while you are both physically comfortable, have eaten, are not in the dumps of life or work and are going to be uninterrupted. Yelling is'nt ok except when someone is in danger. Period. This includes being distracted or lazy when talking to your partner from another room, it is a matter of respect. Your tone on the otherhand is alright. Practice your week spots in the restroom. Supernanny did that with a cuple once and it worked brilliantly. As for the children, you two sit down and write your expectations as if you were going in front of a banker for a personal load and REALLY want that payout. Business plans state increments of time in which you intend to make the business successful and for it to grow. Six months, a year, eighteen month, two years, three, four, etc. This will be tough but, if you do this and keep the eye on the prize you might be able to break the patterns that were set by your upbringing and on the flip of that, bring in the good stuff.

My opinion on this show is that Jo Frost is kind of bringing back the golden age of daytime talk shows where the drama was kept to a minimum and roasting wasn’t a thing. Where we had Phil Donahue, Oprah Winfrey, Jenny Jones, Sally Jessy Raphael, Geraldo Rivera, and then Jerry Springer, Maury Povich, and Ricki Lake came a long the way.
