Plenty of racehorses come from behind to win. Not many of them were previously leading the race, lost all momentum, dropped several lengths back and then came from behind to win.
That's exactly what happened in Saturday's 7th at Parx Racing. In the one-mile, $7,500 claiming event, Extrasexxyeurodude appeared to lead comfortably for most of the race but nearing the top of the stretch, the 4-year-old pulled up and started backing up into the field. Jockey Edwin Rivera gathered up the horse and despite having lost five lengths to the new leader, Extrasexxyeurodude rallied incredibly for the win.
