With their beloved Prophet gone, the Muslim community, in mourning, had to find a way to move forward but first, they had to agree on a successor to Muhammad, the Prophet of Allah.
In this video, we look at the expansion of Muhammad's empire from Arabia to Baluchistan in the East and Tunisia in the West. The early Islamic conquests changed the landscape of the world and created a pretty stable empire for a decent amount of time. It's the reason Muslims are found pretty anywhere other than Arabia. It's the reason today, Muslims are like a quarter of the world population.
There will be a separate video discussing why Muhammad's successors decided to expand their empire and why they were so successful at it. It's one of the most fascinating things in history how these traders and shepherds who couldn't read or write, living in a hellish landscape could win battles against the world's two superpowers.
