i recall that Altair was so good that he was being demonized in a fictional level by templars on a long table. seeing you parkour here shows how inhuman and truly bestial the assassins move in flow and acrobatics even. i could imagine a young altair himself move like that in late 11th century and be considered supernatural all entirely. nice vid boss!

They are one of the jankiest parts of the parkour system in unity. A good example: if you back eject immediately after a swing to cat hang transition, without waiting for the animation to finish, it just straight up teleports you on the target wall, but facing the opposite way (hands and feet planted in the air). Sometimes if you back eject again you can clip through the wall and onto the other side and get stuck there for eternity. Wouldn't recommend.

it's cause this video was planned down to every movement, so I knew exactly what I needed to do and what I should expect to happen. In casual play, I can only do them semi consistently. The general guidelines are: - if it's far, jump _right before_ reaching the edge - if it's close, hold parkour down my best recommendation is to test these out yourself and develop an intuition for what is 'far' and what is 'close'

@SADDE
2 жыл бұрын
Usually you'll need to either jump right before reaching an edge or just hold parkour down. As for recognizing opportunities to do it, my advice is always to practice. I recommend looking at videos of other people doing it (e.g. jcers' ultimate movement guide on KZitem, under the 'base jumps' chapter), then going in the game and finding beams, ropes, etc. of similar distances. Try it out, see how it works and as you do it more and more you'll develop a sort of intuition for the appropriate situations in which it can be done. Hope this helps.

you tap the drop button once while hanging off of a beam/rope/any handhold where arno doesn't plant his feet onto anything, but it usually has to be done from an unsafe height. This specific location is an exception to that rule, but instead of tapping it, you hold it down just as you're transitioning to that exact spot.

@SADDE
3 жыл бұрын
if you're wondering what gear I used for my previous videos (museum + food chain), it is as it follows: Legendary Napoleonic Hood, Legendary Sans-Cullotes Coat, Legendary Military Bracers, Legendary Military Belt, Legendary Sans-Cullotes Trousers. These days I don't use this equipment as much, ever since I discovered Gear-Based SFX: certain pieces of gear have different sound effect properties, which in my opinion are miles better than the default ones (the one you hear in this video). For this effect to carry through you must wear all 5 pieces of gear which have such properties (hood, coat, bracers, belt, breeches). Generally you want to avoid wearing gear from the Military, Sans-Cullotes and Arno's Sets. It's kind of a buggy feature, as in it sometimes won't work that way even if you wear the proper gear, but if it doesn't try to experiment yourself

Note: of course newer PCs can also run that thing at 60fps, but the consoles trick is great for peeps who've owned the game for years. It's like the real Triple A title it was meant to be.
