I do agree that it looked great when you were gouging. No sticking at all! But good lord that's a lot of amps! I'm gonna tie a cv/ cc and a old Lincoln 250 dc together and let the sparks fly

I've gouged with 400 amps with a 1/4 round rod with no problems. 800 amp is a little high

the electrodes were 3/8" according to specs. that require approx. 100 amps per 1/16 of diameter. 600 amps works but a little more digs a lot deeper and cleaner.

+Chris Hensiak If you use smaller electrodes you can do, a reasonable job. the other thing you need a lot of is compressed air 80-90psi works well but for really big electrodes 100- 120psi with lots of volume works better. it is really a matter of how much you want to remove at one time.

Don't gouge with inverters it messes the arc up on em they will still work but not that well transformers are way better

We have used these 2 machines paralleled together for a long time and they still work great!
