If we set the state value to previous value again it won't re-render. React sees for change in state value. When it sees previous and new values are same, it won't re-render.

Hoisting is javascript default behaviour of moving the declaration to the top of the current scope. Variable or function declared with const and let are not hoisted because we know let and const used to avoid hoisting mainly. Eg. Hoisting with respect to variable: console.log(hoist); var hoist= "Hello"; //undefined Hoisting with respect to function: function hoistFunc(){ console.log(message); var message = "Hello friends" } hoistFunc() // undefined We can't hoist the function expression: eg. abc(); var abc= function (){ console.log("Function expression never hoist"); } // abc is not defined Function expression always hoist: eg. abc(); function abc(){ console.log("Function definition always hoist"); } //Function definition always hoist Remember : function definition always hoist, function expression never hoist.
