Fantastic Richard. Watched the whole lot in one sitting and will start work on my new/old toy tomorrow. Would have liked to see how you adjusted the pallet to vary the key height but I think I can figure it out. You tube was designed for helpful people like you. Thank you very much.

Thanks for your series of videos Rich, I find them very informative and interesting. You present each step precisely and quickly, Lots of videos drone on for too long on a subject. I think you cover each subject just right. I have a SORRENTO 12 bass That i bought for £30 so that i could have a tinker and learn to play. There was lots wrong with it but i have sorted most of the problems out. but still have a fair bit to do " the g1 pull reed is broken off, the tuning is not right, the bass side valves are curled up and need replacing and the treble side too, the f bass hardly has any volume. etc, etc" I'am torn as to whether to finish all the repairs. As i find the instrument a bit limiting. and i'am looking for a 72 bass that needs restoring as an instrument to keep and play. I have tried larger instuments and find them too big, heavy, tiring to play and have far more voices and bass voices than i need. I'm happy with a good wet musette sound. I would like to hear your comments. Many Thanks Paul Dickinson

Hi Paul Thank You for your kind comments! I really like restoring old Hohner - such as the Arietta, Concerto, Student. They are really well made and sound lovely. Maybe a Hohner Arietta or Student 72 or Concerto ii or iii would suit you? Best wishes Rich

Did I miss your sharpening by filing?. Where did you show that please? I really enjoyed your tutorial having just got a big Sivori and know nothing about how they work until now. The tuning is likely to be a huge job!
