Thanks for highlighting this issue. I heard on another video that there is nowhere for the missing screws to screw into! Did you find that as well?

The screws supplied by AS do the trick. I had three sets sent to me👍👍. They do indeed have somewhere to screw into. There are specific areas under the speaker securing clips on the PCB 👍

Hi well that turned out to be a relitively easy fix, caused by assembly issues in the factory. I must admit I have "The Black Watch" too and haven't noticed any sound issues with mine, I must be the lucky one or you were just unlucky! I bet you won't find anything wrong with your others unless they are showing signs of vibration. With the faff of taking those chains off, I think i'd not bother unless they actually had issues..............You said you turned your sound down, yeah I did the same, it was just way too loud, I think mine is on about 40% of the max volume. Anyway, great work identifying the fix. All the best Dave.

Did you mention CV64! It should be CV63 and the speaker should be turned down from its max of 192 to around 160. This will cure it 👍. Accurascale would have supplied the correct screws had you contacted them 👍

Nice review and lots of modellers are complaining about the issue ? Im sure when these have a few miles under their belt the problem will become worse? I dont have one myself but i would buy dcc ready as im not interested in sound railway, so it wont be a fix i would need! Two things put me off the model. One the over sized standing equipment chains, and two the etched window frames, there's also quite a big gap between bodie and bogies but i guess its so the second radius curves can be concoured? All nit picking i know, still a fine model of Deltic.

It looks more black tack that you used which is a lot better than blue tack.

That is good to know but I bet it takes you longer than 30 mins to fix those chains! The chains look good but are not really worth it. Every time you need to get into the loco body those chains are trouble. Also as you have to make sure the wheels are on the track correctly people need to hold the bogies so we don't want lose details on the bogie. Reminds me of the Hattons Class 66. The most original feature was the rotating axle boxes but as they frequently fall out so are also the worst feature. You can design a perfect model with details but it also has to be assembled and operated so there is a compromise. Something that Bachmann and Hornby understand better than Accurascale and Hattons. I'm hoping that Accurascale become more realistic and make better compromises in future. I don't have an Accurascale 55 with sound but wanted to see how you got into the body so thanks.

Thank you for a lovely message Allan if you’ve got any more questions just ask I do have quite a few Hattons +66 also I think it will be worth to take the chains off they don’t do anything they’re just in the way and if they do come off they may get tangled up in the wheels and cause damage so I think it’s best they’re off Many thanks Bernie

Wrong wrong wrong wrong. The vibration is nothing to do with the bracket or the speaker being loose. It’s to do with the clearance with the fans and PCB in the loco body. You just sound like an obnoxious grumpy gammon, posting stuff on here with your (wrong) opinions without even bothering to contact Accurascale in the first place…..
