Its a lot of work but you can really make shirts pop and very attractive. My first heat press was a 16x20 Stahls from someones garage. Then I got everything else to get going. Its about what people want, creativity and skill that get you far. Siser easyweed stretch is a good way to go and lasts for a looong time vs just the regular. I've had stuff for 10 years and one that I had done 9 years ago on my jogging shorts which was Siser Easyweed Reflective. This is so much fun!

Question, does each quick press of each layer cause the adhesive to slowly cook away? If you had 3 layers and did each layer at 5 seconds (15 seconds total) then you did the final press 15 seconds that is almost 30 seconds of heat on that vinyl. I have read forums and blogs and some say that you can actually cook the adhesive OFF or away from the vinyl causing it to peel/come up after a few washings. Is this true?

I come from the Screen print world. When you print multi colors, the shirt is TACKED to the Platen so is wont move. I wish to do some Mutli-Color HTV. Your design is BUTT Registered meaning none of the colors over print one another, they just but up against one another. I noticed when you work this way when you peel off the carrier film off from one color the shirt moves around some. How do you keep everything registered between colors if the shirt can move around?

@danbarb9728
4 жыл бұрын
What really interests me is how much time in total you can press those HTV foils? I bought a large heat press like yours from Stahls and the cameo4 and now i am looking which HTV i should get, i just do this for fun, i dont plan a bussiness. I want to press my little nephew some shirts with cartoon figures and they have like 4-5 colors including the black outline. I experimented with silhouette studio designer edition and everything worked pretty good in that software, i could seperate all colors and now i need to cut them but i dont know which HTV because some are cold and some are hot peel and some only need 5s, some need 15-20s. I guess i can not choose the cold peel ones because that trick with a quick 4s press will probably not work with cold peel products? So i am leaning to hot peel foils designed for 15-20s. I pretty much lean towards the Siser easyweed PS Film, i hope this is a good HTV. I also looked at Poli Tape Flex film and i think Chemica Hotmark which is super thin foil with 50 microns, the Siser is 90 microns, i dont know if that is a good thing or probably a matter of taste? Now the question is when those HTV foils are designed for 20s how they can survive 4-5 colors because when i sum up all 4-5 colors it will be more like 36 seconds in total pressing time. Another thing i worry about is shrinking, when i layer all 5 colors together it will maybe show white gaps in between the layered colors because the material shrinks, can that be a problem?

Hi Dan thanks for watching.. Hopefully you subscribed... But for your questions. I use and now a distributer for B-flex vinyl. You can see what we carry at Www.heartandhustleprinting.com. The Gimme5 presses in 4 seconds and is a hot peel vinyl. When it comes to layering vinyl 100% of the time it is going to shrink. You will just have to learn your program and manipulate the image. I will send you a link in a different message with a video that shows you how to do it. With siser or sthals 15 sec press you will have to do a a 3 to 5 second tac. Then once you get all layers layered you will do one last press for full 15 sec.. Hope this helps. KEEP PRESSIN!!!!

@@HeartHustlePrinting of course i subscriped to your chanel. Thank you for the long answer to my questions. I am in germany and i dont have this Gimme5 HTV accesable. I ordered Siser PS Film, here you have a great access to the european HTVs like Siser, Chemica, Sef and Poli Tape. I am a bit disappointed that the shrinking is such a big deal, i tought i could press cartoon figures with multiple colors with nice results. Like a black outline mask and multiple colors added to it. So shrinking means you will see the color of the shirt looking trough some parts of the cartoon character? I guess i have to cut the color parts like a fraction larger to prevent this?

My question is, how did you print everything individually?

The power of vector graphics. It's all in the software. You just print/cut them separately.

You are such an inspirational person. Could you please recommend a printer to start off the printing business and maybe why you recommend it Lol.

Great video. Thanks for posting. Can you tell me why you didn’t overlap the vinyl? You said either way didn’t matter but why choose the way you did. Thanks.

I choose that way because I like to get a good contact on the vinyl on the garment.

Heart & Hustle Printing Yes, you mentioned that and I wanted to ask if that make the transfer last longer. I would think but I know nothing about this. Very interested in knowing all about it. Thank you.
