Hello, for the face I recommend you apply Fade Bright 2x per day *prior to any other products. www.platinumskincare.com/fade-bright-lightening/ Retinol Molecular Serum .20% will help to turn over the skin more quickly and help fade back pigmentation. Apply this in the evenings AFTER the Fade Bright. www.platinumskincare.com/retinol-molecular-serums-10-20-30/ A great peel for you would be the TCA 13% at 1-3 layers. You will want to prepare your skin with the retinol + fade bright for at least 2 weeks prior to your first peel. Then you can do this peel about 2x per month. For the body you can use the TCA as well, but with the skin being so much thicker you will need to prep with the 25% Triple Treat Body Lotion. This will help you get a better peel on the body - and you can continue to use it daily to help even the skin tone. The TCA will help with the stretch marks - but I suggest you use a higher percentage of tca (20%) when treating the body and applying more layers. To help with the stretch mark rejuvenation, we carry Dr. Pickart's SuperCop 2x skin remodeling cream. I would apply that 2x per day. www.platinumskincare.com/copper-super-cop-2x/

Quick Question. Been ordering your Jesners and very happy with results on face. It basically completely changed my skin on my face after 3 peels. Wish I knew about it years ago. I have hypo-pigmentation(not hyper) spots from acne that is now completely cleared up on the back of my arms and on chest. I tried your jesners which I already had (on arms), did virtually nothing, did many layers, properly cleaned skin and so on. I have a dermanator 2 micro needler machine and I extremely heavily needled the areas with a very deep 2.5mm depth twice now two weeks apart. It's hard to tell but it seems like just a minor improvement ( I know 2 times probably wouldn't be enough anyways). Just as another point of reference. Was thinking maybe 1-2 peels of 30% TCA might get things going and be worth a shot. I'm a guy so my skin is already I assume is a bit thicker and takes a bit more to get the job done. I'm White and not prone to hyperpigmentation. I work at home so keeping it easy during down time isn't an issue. And I'd likely split up the treatment areas so it isn't all done at the same time, like arms then a week later chest. Thoughts suggestions?

WaterspoutsOfTheDeep WaterspoutsOfTheDeep yes, the Jessners is most likely not enough for changes on the body. We usually recommend the Tca 30% for light skin on body. You can watch this video on body peeling. kzitem.info/news/bejne/1a5ju5-jsaiAmn4 Body peels only 1x per month. It will take some time to start exfoliating.

These work excellent to clear your skin in about 4 weeks *that is an acne cycle and you need to give time to break it. You can find the kit here: www.platinumskincare.com/moderate-acne-maintenance-kit/ For the acne and scarring I am going to suggest a TCA 13% peel 1-3 layers to be done 1-2x per month. www.platinumskincare.com/tca-peel-13-20-30/Then on the scars themselves, apply the SuperCop 2x to help regenerate new tissues. www.platinumskincare.com/copper-super-cop-2x/

Thank you so much. This is the first ever comprehensive video I've found on peels. I've been doing various peels myself for years, only after I did for a number of times at the dermatologists practice. I stayed at the safe levels with lactic and TCA. I am mid 50's and blessed with having oily skin, hence no wrinkles at all. However, oily skin brings open pores and with age and skin losing collagen, pores get more noticeable. So, I want to bring the peel now to the next level. The one that will give me a very good flaking, a good kick of collagen and shrink those pores. For longer :) I do use Retin A and niacinamide as well and off course have great result long term, with this routine. Thank you for this video.

HI , Thank you so much for great information. which peel is good for lightening underarms and what % would be good ?
@PlatinumSkinCare
6 жыл бұрын
Hi there. You are very welcome. For the underarms I would first start off with our Fade Bright or a hydroquinone product if you have one. Then, the TCA 20% would be an excellent choice. Remember, these products will only lighten to your natural skin tone - not lighter. You will most likely need to do a few peels. Body takes longer to peel than the face, so expect a couple weeks to go by before you see any flaking. Aim to do 1 peel per month.

Hello, you may alter the application of Glycolic peels and TCA peels. Example, do a glycolic peel weekly and then a TCA peel only 1x per month or 1x every quarter. Glycolic are lighter and are great to keep things looking good, while TCA goes deeper and as long as you do 4 TCA peels per year, that would be fine.
@PlatinumSkinCare
6 жыл бұрын
Yes, you may use the same peels on your body - but you will want a stronger percentage such as our Glycolic 70% or TCA 20% or 30%. The body's skin is SO much thicker that the milder peels just won't do much at all. Do not mix the peel solutions at all. Use them as is. You would only dilute their strengths by mixing.

For pigmenation use Fade Bright 2x per day for 2 weeks. Retinol Molecular Serum .20% every evening. Continue using until it is time to do the peel. Hi there. I understand exactly where you are coming from. My acne didn't even really get going until my 20's. You have 2 of the 3 KEY products. The 3rd one is the Retinol Molecular Serum .20% A daily regimen: Morning: AB + Toner + Fade Bright + B Complex + SPF Evening: AB + Toner + FB + B Complex + Retinol I would love to get some samples of the Mattifying FACE spf by Cotz that we carry. It is meant for oily/acne skin. We have samples here. Just REQUEST some in your comments section of the order. It has a nice tint to it that blends well with almost all skin types. For the peel. I would do that about 1x every 10 days. *Just make sure your skin is NOT flaking still when you go to do your next peel. You will most likely get about 3-4 peels per month for a couple of months. Then you can cut down and just use them to keep things under control. The Retinol and B and AB will do the rest.

Hi there. For acne scars are you referring to a depressed hole? That would be an icepick scar and TCA 30% on a wooden pick can be used with the TCA CROSS method. See that on this page: www.platinumskincare.com/tca-peel-13-20-30/ Now, if you are only referring to the dark marks left after a pimple has healed, that is called post inflammatory hyper pigmetation and that is not really a scar. That can be lightened with our Fade Bright Serum 2x per day Here: www.platinumskincare.com/fade-bright-lightening/ along with a milder peel like our Mandelic 40% here: www.platinumskincare.com/mandelic-peel-22-40/ Both acids are also great for pigmentation + that Fade Bright and don't forget your SPF of at least 40 since you are dealing with pigmentation.

See this page on face mapping www.platinumskincare.com/blog/face-mapping-to-solve-skin-issues/ Jawline acne is usually caused from a liver in need of cleansing. See the internal suggestions there. Externally, I highly suggest our 3 key acne products. AB Cleanser (glycolic + salicylic + tea tree....) 2x per day to keep pores clear. Vitamin B Complex 2x per day to heal acne and cut blemishes in 1/2. Then, evenings Retinol .20% Molecular Serum to encourage faster healing, quick cellular turnover (less marks) and clearing out the pores. This is a daily regimen that will keep your skin clear. For a peel, I suggest starting with something milder like the Mandelic 40% peel, or if you are a bit tougher the Salicylic 15% peel. Both will help to calm. Then the incredible end intensified when removing and neutralizing. Now a little funky looking today and patches look a bit red and dry and like a burn. ILL BE PATIENT. @PlatinumSkinCare

Hello. I am not understanding how you applied this? Lactic is Not layered in any way. You will apply it... then time and rinse. Layers are only done with TCA or Jessners. I am unsure of where you got this idea to layer it... but most likely that contributed to the excess dryness and angry looking skin that you are dealing with. I suggest copious amounts of healing products like emu oil for its anti-inflammatory properties. Next time... apply... wait 10 minutes and rinse. :)

Yes, absolutely. The lowest percentage of glycolic that we manufacture is the 30% You can start there if you wish or bump up to the 50%. It depends on if you want it to be a similar (very light) peel or you want something a bit more active. *Yes, many people peel year round. The biggest feat is that you have to avoid the sun. Use SPF 50 every day, wear a hat, etc... protect your skin if you are peeling. If you would rather get a tan ... then no peeling. ;)

Hello. A 10% - 20% would be extremely mild as a peel. Our lowest percentage of glycolic for a peel is the 30%. Anything lighter and that can be used as a daily product. We have a 15% and 30% daily glycolic serum, along with our 10% daily cleansers and toners. If you purchased something so light, I fear you will not get any results at all.

So be sure to get started on that every night: www.platinumskincare.com/retinol-molecular-serums-10-20-30/ *I recommend starting with the .20%. Then, the TCA 13% at 1-3 layers 1-2x per month will really help your skin just BE its very best. Tightening and stimulating collagen and elastin. Everything you need for smooth, beautiful skin.

We like for you to do a complete series of 6-8 peels. At that point you can re-evaluate your skin and make some decisions. IF it looks great, then yes... cut back and do maybe a peel a month to keep it looking super. IF it needs more help, either do a 2nd series of that acid or move up to a stronger one. Make sure you are also using maintenance products daily such as Retinol .20% Molecular Serum or a 10% Glycolic Revitalizing Cleanser to keep your skin looking super in between the peels.

I would suggest that you try the Jessners peel. You can do about 2-3 layers. That should be very helpful as it has salicylic acid and also resorcinol in it. It will help with pores and to remove discoloration from previous blemishes. Also, you need to do a daily regimen. AB Cleanser 2x per day. Vitamin B Complex 2x per day. Retinol .20% at night only. And watch your diet. Please read over this page here: www.platinumskincare.com/blog/face-mapping-to-solve-skin-issues/ and follow some of the recommendations for your acne and where it is located on your face. Hi Great video I have blemishes And absolutely hate my stubborn black heads. I have a little dark colouring from spots. I have sensitive skin and apply cream many times daily. I have applied a home tca peel at 12.5% once before and it worked great. However I struggled with staying at home because I didn’t want to go out with a flaky face and as a mother I had to take out with my young child. I also work so I don’t want to go out being all flakey and red. I really want to apply tca peel again but as I mentioned the whole going out process stops me. I have Been considering getting a series of glycolic peel done professionally from a local clinic . I thought this way there is less ‘recovery time and irritation ’ i so i feel comfortable going out daily and achieve the results but in a slower duration. I am also thinking of purchasing glycolic acid for home treatment if I like the results in the clinic . What can you recommend?
@PlatinumSkinCare
6 жыл бұрын
If you want very minimal flaking I would suggest the Mandelic 40% peel over a glycolic any day. You can do that 2-4x per month. Very mild flaking and nothing at all that would stop you from leaving your house. Also, you need to start using Retinol .20% Molecular Serum every day to help with clearing your pores out. www.platinumskincare.com/retinol-molecular-serums-10-20-30/ Then, with blackheads that is generally a dietary issue. Please read over this document: www.platinumskincare.com/blog/face-mapping-to-solve-skin-issues/ Dairy, fried foods and allergies (all mucus causing) are the triggers to blackheads.

First, take a look at this face mapping page: www.platinumskincare.com/blog/face-mapping-to-solve-skin-issues/ It can help to guide you to dietary changes and extra herbs that can help with your root causes. Then, for pimples you have a choice of 2 mild peels. Mandelic & Azelaic 22% or Salicylic 15% (stronger). The mandelic is better for pigmentation issues, but I believe your discoloration is only PIH from pimples that have gone away, so either peel can help with that.

Hello there. I do not want to impart medical advice, but they can be removed. You don't have to suffer with them. Common treatments are laser, TCA or dissection under a local anesthesia. If you wanted to try TCA at home, I would recommend you just apply the peel like would normally be done. I would suggest the TCA 13% at 1-2 layers over the entire face. *If you wish you could add an extra spot treatment onto the bumps themselves. *Your very best bet would definitely be to see a dermatologist. This will most likely be covered under your insurance as well.

Which peel is worked best for freckles and sun tan on face???? Plzzz reply
@PlatinumSkinCare
5 жыл бұрын
pallavi chandra hello. You should never do a peel when you have a sun tan on your face. I suggest letting that fade away prior to applying a peel. It can fade away naturally or you can use acid cleansers and serums it a fading product to remove it more quickly. The reason for this is because the excess melanin in your skin could cause spotting. Since you are targeting freckling, I would start with a melanin inhibitor 2x per day like our Fade Bright. www.platinumskincare.com/fade-bright-lightening/ After your tan is gone the Lactic 50 is a nice milder (no flaking) peel that is helpful for pigmentation. If you want a stronger one the Mandelic 22 is a great option for a weekly peel. If you want more flaking then take a look at the Tca 13% with 1-3 layers.

Remember, melasma is hormonally based, and is very tough to treat. It can take several months and is non-ending. You may need to add on chemical peels as well as IPL treatments to truly reduce or eradicate it. Patience and SPF are the key. I have heard from a dermatologist that you are never supposed to put any exfoliant/peel on the skin directly under your eyes because the skin is far too thin and sensitive. They say you can do perminant damage to that skin if you do. What's your take on this? Do you recommend these peels be used on the undereye? Are there benefits to doing so? Also, I'm thinking of doing a peel. I'm trying to get rid of a couple of sunspots. While other products have lightened them significantly, I want them gone. My skin loves lactic, but I'm thinking I'm going to need something that will give me a much deeper peel to get rid of those spots. What would you recommend and what percent? Thank you!
@JenniferTilney
5 жыл бұрын
Hi there, many dermatologisits apply tca on the eye area to stimulate collagen and tightening - and they use much higher percentages. That just shows that everyone has varying opinions on what to do. Absolutely the undereye can have solution applied to it - same as when you are doing your face. Same benefits as above the eyes. For sunspots, pretreat with Fade Bright 2x per day to get a head start, and then the TCA is excellent for that. I suggest the 13% at 1-2 layers for your first application. In the future you can strengthen this peel by applying more layers of the solution (up to 5).

Very informative video but I have to ask.....if the TCA peel does everything, then why do any other kind of peel? I am a woman, light skin, early 50's that still gets acne and have fine wrinkles (crows feet) with some areas of slight pigmentation. I also noticed above and below my eyes that the skin has lost its elasticity ( as well as under my chin....turkey neck) I also have thick course chin hairs that I remove either by tweezing or shaving (sometimes both!). I notice after I tweeze or sometimes even after shaving, then i get acne like bumps on my chin and along the jaw line but it happens MORE with tweezing. It is very distressing to be in my 50's and still get acne. About 15 Years ago I had 3 laser treatments ( i dont recall what kind of laser it was) and 3 TCA peels (i dont remember the strength) and my skin was the smoothest, clearest it ever had been. However it is cost prohibitive and I could not keep up with the treatments and my acne came back, which lead to scars because I was a picker. Now I am older and I have the elasticity loss, uneven skin tone, acne (active and scarring), wrinkles, and i get tiny bumps around my mouth (clogged pores) that are so close to my actual lip I am afraid to apply anything to it. However I can extract the substance out (it is rather thick and wax like). I am leaning towards the TCA peel since I have had them before and got great results. Would there be an reason why I would need any other kind of peel since I have so many different issues?
@PlatinumSkinCare

Rhonda Sandlin it all depends on how much flaking you want - and, some acids just work better for some people. There is generally some trial and error to find what works best for you. Many people like to alternate the acids - like me for my acne prone skin. I will do either the Mandelic or Tca on average. It sounds to me like Tca has worked great for you in the past and that you should start there. I suggest the 13% at 1-2 layers your first time. Then make sure you are using proper daily products. NO no no. You are asking for trouble layering a peel of that strength when you have never done that at home before. 25% is VERY strong for TCA. Most people don't move up to the 20% until they are doing 5 layers of the 13% regularly. I still just do the 13%. I highly suggest that you dilute that down. Cut it in half to get a 12.5%. Apply 2 layers of that your first time. No more. Then, next time work up to 3 layers and then 4 and then 5 MAYBE... if you feel its necessary.

Absolutely. We generally recommend that you stop retinoic acid use 2-7 days prior to a peel. It really depends on your sensitivity. Many don't stop use at all and some need to give it at least 5 days or more.

Hi 🙂 I'm looking to try a facial peel, but I'm unsure on which to use. I have combo type skin and it tends to get kinda sensitive. I have acne spots around the chin I'd like to get rid of as well as my large pores. What would you recommend? Hopefully I gave you a decent description.

Chiquita Banana with your more sensitive skin I would suggest starting with our Mandelic 22%. This will help with acne very much. It states to apply 1x every 1-2 weeks. With your sensitivity, you can do 2 weeks.

Hi first wanted to thank you for the great services you give! every strong TCA peel at the office setting costs here approximately 900$. Second wanted to ask you if I was doing 20% TCA peel 2 layers on the face for pigmentation and sun damage and got minor flaking and minor improvement. How soon can I do another TCA peel and if its ok this time to go as many layers as needed till I get equal frosting all over the face?(I have very fair skin and sun damage on the face)

10eldan two layers of a 20% TCA requires a few weeks off. 3-4 would be good. Try using products like Retinol Molecular Serum.20% every evening as retinol will actually speed up your skins rate of healing. Then other ingredients such as EGF will help as well. www.platinumskincare.com/retinol-molecular-serums-10-20-30/ www.platinumskincare.com/regenerate-maximum-potency-egf-stem-cell-therapy/

10eldan also, you can go up in layers (waiting 5 minutes in between) ... but tread carefully. That can get very strong. And you don’t have to have a full frost to get peeling. You will peel no matter what. *If you have frosting in a few areas at 2 layers, when you move on to a third layer ONLY apply solution to areas that did NOT frost.

i bought the 15% salisylic acid and havent really noticed a difference, i also noticed i dont actually flake. i’m not sure if this is because it’s a lower percentage because when i did peels at the doctor i think they may have been a higher percentage because my face would actually stay a bit red and flake. also each bottle of acid lasts me about 3 peels until i need to do another, is that how its supposed to be used or am i supposed to use a whole vile per peel?
@PlatinumSkinCare

imactuallygia hello. Everyone is different and will get different results. Did you prepare your skin correctly prior to the peel? Daily acid use to thin the skin? Retinol every evening? Both will help. Did you prep? Wash + prep A (or 90% alcohol)? This percentage may just be too light for you. First... Try leaving it on longer. You can certainly increase the time as needed. Up to 10 minutes is fine.. the longer it is on the better the peel. Next time move up in strength. The 25% is a big jump from the 15% *even though it wouldn’t seem like it. Yes, about 3 per bottle is accurate. We want your face wet - but not dripping.

Per your guidance I started with Glycolic 30% acid for my series of 8. My first one 30 seconds only. Then 8 days later did my second one left on for TWO minutes, tolerated it easier. But stopped my .3 retinol this time 4 days before. I will do my 3rd 10 days later. I just learned that I should apply my fade and retinol right after rinsing my acid off? Is that correct? Do I still use my Vitamin C the next morning?
@PlatinumSkinCare

Hello. After a glycolic peel you will not want to apply a retinoid *that is with TCA or jessners. Fade Bright would be OK... as long as it isn't irritating. Consider waiting until your done with any flaking for that.

Wow this is so informative! I started with Glycolic because I have limited knowledge. I’m 54 looking for the best anti aging acid. I’m 2 in on the series of 8. Now I hear TCA is the best peel for anti aging. Should I switch now to TCA or just continue on to finish my glycolic series then change?
@PlatinumSkinCare
3 жыл бұрын
YOu are only leaving the glycolic on for about 2 minutes. I suggest you keep working up with that for awhile. Once you are leaving it on 5-10 minutes ... think about moving up to 1 layer of the TCA 13.

Hello there. You don't mention what type of acne scars you have, so I am going to send you to this SCARS video we just made: kzitem.info/news/bejne/tHl6rXx3s3eZnYI It is going to explain what the different scars are (some aren't even scars like PIH) and how to treat them.
@@smrithyjoseph5540 Ah... then not really a scar. PIH can be treated a few ways. Most definitely with a daily application of a melanin inhibitor such as our Fade Bright www.platinumskincare.com/fade-bright-lightening/ Another option is a Saliyclic acid peel such as our 15%. This is great for PIH and can be done 1-3x per month. www.platinumskincare.com/salicylic-peel-3-15-25/ Then Retinol .20% in the evenings will be very helpful - as it helps to turn over the skin more quickly. This gets the pigmentation to the surface and off. www.platinumskincare.com/retinol-molecular-serums-10-20-30/

I would suggest Retinol .20% every evening and Fade Bright 2x per day. This will really help. Make sure to use SPF 5o each morning as well to block the UV rays. For a peel, a milder one would be mandelic 40 and a stronger one would be the TCA 13% at 1-2 layers.

Hello. First, let's clear up your acne by following an appropriate regimen. Take a look at these products: www.platinumskincare.com/moderate-acne-maintenance-kit/ This kit has AB Cleanser, Purify Toner (both acids help clear off dead skin), Vitamin B for use 2x per day (cuts acne in 1/2) and Retinol .20% for evening use. Retinol keeps pores clear and stimulates skin to regenerate itself. Then, you can definitely add on a peel. Mandelic 22 is a nice, beginners peel that works for acne and pigmentation. Very light flaking. Something stronger would be TCA 13% at 1-2 layers. Fade Bright is a topical treatment that can be used directly on pigmentation if you wish. www.platinumskincare.com/fade-bright-lightening/

Yes, Mandelic is great for dark spots and has a very mild irritation. This can be used on teens and tweens as well, so very safe + extremely effective. You can apply Fade Bright 2x per day and then the Mandelic acid 1x per week or every other week. Salicylic = acne mandelic = acne, pigmentation, aging skin glycolic = general light exfoliation Lactic = mild, hydrating good for pigmentation and aging *no flaking. It does not matter your skin coloring as to how well your skin will improve. All skin colors will improve. Fade Bright 2x per day and any of the peels we spoke about will be helpful. The TCA will work the quickest - since it is stronger.

It sounds like Salicylic 15% peel would be perfect for your congested pores. You can do this peel 1x every 7-10 days. See this short explanatory video: kzitem.info/news/bejne/qqJmvHaXq5yId4I Then you need to watch your mucus production! Allergies or just too much fried foods will cause tons of blackheads. Read over this page: www.platinumskincare.com/blog/face-mapping-to-solve-skin-issues/ Then, think about an acne skin regimen. We recommend AB Cleanser 2x per day. Vitamin B Complex 2x per day and then Retinol Molecular Serum .20% every evening. These will REALLY help to keep your skin clear. www.platinumskincare.com/acne-category/

Shanna Giles oh yes, even with the Glycolic 30 you can do that peel one time per week. Remember, even with the stronger acids like Tca, a peel is not a 1x event. You will do a series of 6-8 peels to get results. Aim for 2 peels per week with the Tca 13% applied (1-3 layers).

@PlatinumSkinCare
6 жыл бұрын
There are a couple of things you should be using prior to applying a peel. Benzoyl peroxide is only good for one thing (killing p-acnes bacteria)... if this is not your acne cause, then it will not help you. Consider this Acne Kit here: www.platinumskincare.com/moderate-acne-maintenance-kit/ It will address the extra dead skin buildup INSIDE your pores, the dead skin ON your face as well as help to control acne with Vitamin B. Then you can add on a weekly peel such as our Mandelic & Azelaic 22%. It is perfect for a newbie and will help your acne quickly. Also, consider a dietary change. Read over our page on Face Mapping and see what is causing your acne: www.platinumskincare.com/blog/face-mapping-to-solve-skin-issues/
