They looks so awesome as adults :D My Korra is just a few months old ( born in August 2015) But she acts just like an adult :D Maybe she is more skittish but i supose thats normal for such a small lizard :) But she always runs towards the glass when i enter the room waiting for food :)

You could just get a 70 gallon adult setup right off the bat, but like he said smaller is fine until it gets bigger. I just prefer putting them in the adult enclosure right away to save money in the long run. Monitors generally don't seem to get stressed out in oversized enclosures like some other reptiles do, so theres no real downside.
@mitchelll899
5 жыл бұрын
@@alexcrowder1673 other benefit to a 40+ is the exercise if they don't want to be held to give them more space than they need with tons of cork pieces incase of climbing objects falling over. 1ft of cork round is about 3/4ths a pound so no different than another one of their kind tackling them for dominant play.

+Jordan Compton Very well said. Most people get butthurt when you tell them monitors are smarter than their beloved beardies. Once you've ownd a monitor though the intelligence is very noticeable. It's almost catlike intelligence. Maybe its just because my nile lives with housecats but I feel like they act similarly too. Sometimes they give you attention, and sometimes they could care less that you even exist lol.
