You just saved me at least $500 (if I called Acorn to come replace the batteries)!

Hi. Thank you for this video. Where can I purchase replacement batteries?

Most home medical equipment stores would have it. Also places like Batteries Plus. There are lots of home medical or battery suppliers on the Internet that will mail order to you. Even Amazon or eBay if you want to search. As noted in the video, you need a 12 volt 7ah (amp-hour) battery. But to be sure, you could remove your battery to make sure it's the same size/capacity as the one in the video. Also aim for an AGM or other deep cycle battery. It's possible to end up with a starting battery (like for a motorcycle) that is the right size, but would fail prematurely for this purpose.

In Vancouver Canada the Acorn company has refused to service my acorn chairlift because it's close to the front door

You made this 10x harder by not removing the seat first.

The seats not stopping anything there's absolutely no way that it would make it any easier or difficult by the seat being on there the seat is in no way in the way of it I know because I've done this a million times but for some reason my LED is not coming on so here I am on KZitem looking for more info😊

I assure you. Taking the seat off first makes taking the cover off much easier. I was an Acorn tech/installer for over 4 years. The LED not coming on is 5 things. Dead batteries, bad connection to the LED, bad connection to the board ,a bad LED or a bad cable.

@@jedimastermadeyejester7272 it took me a lot less time not having to take the seat off and all the paraphernalia that goes with that. This video streamlined the job.

I’m cleaning up an older Acorn 120 and a couple of the nylon rollers in the bottom of the chair unit seem a little stiff like they need lubricated. They don't seem worn out or sloppy, just roll a little stiff. They are not rolling freely. I'm considering putting the chair on its side then putting a drop of oil so it can get down around the shaft. I'm just not sure what kind of lubricant to use. I don't want to put something that will "eat" the nylon roller. Anyone have any ideas on what type of lubricant to use?
