Every time I watch a Kevin Geary video I feel 1% smarter and 1% less chump. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

I have been an ACSS user since day 0. Looking at the stage of ACSS is just a confirmation of how good a product can get when a true leader is on board. Thanks for the ACSS 3.0, this awesome course, and how we can scale up our development of websites. ACSS is a must for me when using Bricks, and of course, Frames to scale even further the efficiency of building great sites. Kudos Kevin!

Excellent. We've used ACSS on almost every website we've built the last year, and it's just a tremendous game changer for building faster and maintainably AND to a higher standard without limiting your creativity. Can't imagine NOT having a context menu-first CSS framework on any site I build again. BIG UP ACSS TEAM!🙌

After transitioning to Bricks a few years back, I discovered ACSS and later Frames. I wasn't quite sure what the benefits were but upon listening, learning, and researching, I've discovered ACSS is so very helpful. This is especially true for someone that wants to make professional, maintainable, accessible websites. ACSS has helped elevate my development in countless ways that I didn't even know existed prior to jumping in. I know this course, similar to the PB101 course, will be a tremendous benefit. While still relatively new to ACSS, I know this course will really help teach me more that the framework provides and will help improve my development experience not only for me but also current and future clients.

Straight to the meat and potatoes with the side by side comparrisons of using a framework, with all the benefits, and not using a framework, with no benefits at all. Promises to be a great series with in depth explanations behind the rational of using a tool like ACSS.

Strange. I've tested the "Auto Orphan Elimination" and it didn't worked as seen in your video Kevin. I'm just starting with ACSS and I'm currently in learning mode. That's a great tool by the way. No. Actually is a must have tool :) Edit: I actually believe I found the culprit. Inside ACSS > Typography > Headings > Text Wrap, I had by default Pretty value which I believe should have been Balance.
@AutomaticCSS

Pretty is what you want, but you need to be in a browser that supports it. It's a progressive enhancement at the current time.

It seems I've stumble upon another issue. This time it seems that Auto Object Fit doesn't work on my ACSS install as it did in yours Kevin, meaning that choosing value 1 for Aspect Ratio for my figure image it doesn't automatically do as in your example. Is like the builder overwrites ACSS. Edit: fixed by enabling ACSS > Workflow Enhancements > Auto Object Fit (cover) :))) I don't understand why was disabled. And another issue is with buttons' transition. They don't have any :) Edit: Fixed by disabling ACSS > Accessibility > Reduce Motion :))
@AutomaticCSS
2 ай бұрын
Don't turn off Reduce Motion. It's important for accessibility. Change your operating system preference if you want to see transitions. Also make sure the Auto Object Fit option is turned on in the dashboard.

Where/how do we disable auto orphan elimination, Kevin? I'm just thinking that an orphan might be okay/tolerable if it's a card description, centered text, 3 lines where the 3rd line is 1 word only. Say I want to disable it to cards only, how do I do that?
@AutomaticCSS
5 ай бұрын
It's definitely undesirable in cards, especially undesirable with centered text, and in almost all other instances. In fact, I've never seen a designer tolerate an orphan in any situation. But you can add the .unbalance class to anything you want to turn off balancing for.

I'm trying to follow this, but I don't see the Automatic CSS sidebar panel shown at about 16:15. If I click on a container or content section while in the Bricks editor, I get the menu on the left with the Content and Style tabs, and if I right-click the column or row gap, or any other element, the Automatic CSS menu pops up, but I don't get the Smart Spacing options. Maybe a question for the forum.
