Stoic philosophy offers such timeless wisdom for facing life's challenges with grace and strength. Learning to let go of what we can't control, embracing impermanence, and focusing on our reactions instead of circumstances are truly empowering steps. Thank you for sharing these insights - they remind me to cultivate inner peace and resilience daily.

This video is a game-changer! The concept of acting as if nothing disturbs you anymore is so powerful. It aligns perfectly with the principles of Stoicism-focusing only on what you can control and letting go of everything else. It’s incredible how much peace you can achieve when you embrace this mindset. Thanks for sharing such profound insights! Definitely going to apply this in my daily life.

Jiddu Krishnamurti suggested that " seeking" is a movement in time, of thought. Thus the ego in action. Know Thyself. Self Knowledge via Self Inquiry without seeking answers is the key to Freedom aka Critical Thinking, Looking inwardly... Ask yourself... whom or what am.i? Namaste 🙏
@PhilosophicStoic
2 күн бұрын
You're absolutely right! Krishnamurti's insights emphasize the importance of self-inquiry over seeking external validation or answers. The journey of knowing oneself is not about accumulating knowledge but about deeply observing and understanding without judgment. It's through this inward reflection that we truly find freedom. Namaste 🙏

@PhilosophicStoic
2 күн бұрын
You're absolutely right - there are challenges in life that are beyond our control and can't simply be solved with positive thinking. Stoicism, however, teaches us not to ignore or dismiss those difficulties, but to focus on how we respond to them. We can't change the external realities, but we can choose how to face them with resilience, patience, and inner strength. It’s not about avoiding pain, but about finding the strength within ourselves to endure and grow through it.

What if you're facing a life sentence in prison and you are truly innocent of the crime you are accused of to be facing that sentence with no physics evidence just pure hear say against you and the court is just not letting up and if you go and lose that life sentence will become life no parole or 125 years and if for some crazy reason you are found guilty any way go to.prison and never getting out? What then ? Can anybody tell me how to use this stoicism to find peace? Or anything?? Because I have tried to figure it out but as of now I can't find anything but death as the only answer to accept a lifetime of prison I been there and id rather be dead then live there for the rest of my life like ant normal person especially that did not do anything to be sent there .THE REASON I ASK FOR HELP IS BECAUSE I WAS RECENTLY INCARCERATED IN THE TARRANT COUNTY JAIL AND IT IS OVER CROWDED WITH INMATES SLEEPING ON THE FLOOR WICH IS ILLEGAL AND A MAJORITY OF THE INMATES THERE ARE BEING.WITH CHILD MOLESTATION CASES SO WE GOT TOGETHER AND LOOKED AT THE EVIDENCE AGAINST FROM THE COUR THE INDICTMENT/DISCOVERY PACKET AND IT WAS PURE HEARSAY FOR THE MAJORITY OF US AND SO FAR INMATES HAVE BEEN GOING TO TRIAL ONLY TO BE FOUND GUILTY AND SENTENCED TO OVER A HUNDRED YEARS WITH THE ONLY EVIDENCE BEING HEARSAY AND IM NEXT AND I AM TERRIFIED ....PLEASE HELP. There is a lot more to what's going on like since i been charged with this bs I have been threatened I lost jobs for absolutely nothing text messages from underage females I have never seen in my life and more if you have any questions messages me here I got like to weeks and if something violent suddenly happens to me you know what it is because I dont.leave the house except only to see my wife or the gym and that's it

While the stoic philosophy in this video is intriguing, isn't there a risk of completely dismissing the importance of addressing real, external issues?
