Some regions and carriers might have blocked this feature. It's unfortunate, but there is nothing I can do. Most Samsung phones will have it.

Android it's self has a far better and faster malware protection system built into the OS called google play protect. It scans and monitors all apps for suspicious behavior automatically, including apps not from the play store (such as side loaded apps).

@@rixlan good thing Android's built in anti malware dose automatic scans. Google play protect is far better, faster, built in, and enbled by default. You don't need this McAfee junk running. Only thing you will notice is slower app installs and updates. I sure noticed a speed improvement with this McAfee junk off.

Hey Sak, thanks for the tip, just bought a 21+ and saw that feature in device care and wasn't sure about it. I bought this unlocked for Samsung and thought it would be trimmed down when it comes to apps unfortunately it has more the my S10+ so my question is how do I determine the apps that I can delete? Amen. Thankfully Samsung has it disabled by default in Android 12. All this dose is slow app installs and updates down noticably. The Android OS has superior anti malware built into the OS called google play protect

I'm with T-Mobile, Los Angeles, and have an S10 +, UI 3.0...... When I click on device security it just shows, "no threat found "......doesn't give the option of turning on/off this feature ?. Maybe with UI 3.1 it shows different?

@@EM-fi2qg You can use Verizon Digital Secure app that should be already preloaded from the Google play store. There is the free option once the application is open. Or you can go with the monthly subscription that will include more protection beyond apps you use.

I typed to search box: _Samsung S21 5G Security Key_ and I found myself here. At least I learned something new, which is great. So there's no video on YT - at the moment of writing - about the built-in security key found in Samsung cell phone. I don't know if I can use it since I have my phone protected within a case, so I can't choose that option that is offered on my Google account ☹️

T-mobile USA, s20+ nope. But there is a widget with a paint brush, storage, and memory to clean. Been using it daily. They give you free version McAfee security.

You don't need a 3rd party anti virus / anti malware app. The Android OS it's self has built in anti malware called google play protect. All this dose is make app installs and updates noticeably slower, even on my Note 20 Ultra 5G. I was so glad when I googled "slow app installs note 20" and found out how to turn this off.

Did not work for me because there was no “device protection” under battery and device care. I just bought a Samsung A53 few weeks ago. I keep getting a message that the (McAfee) “app needs to run in the background to get instant protection . . .” Don’t know what to do other than go to a T-mobile store for help which is a pain. Awful customer service 😣.
