Hello! Nice video! I thought about passive JFET RF switching mixers - what is the maximum input voltage? In my opinion - a bit less that RF voltage from a local oscillator.This type of mixer is more inter-modulation resistant that , said, s MOSFET passive switching RF mixer (because of parasitic p-n function between drain and source). It has less noise. Am I right? What do you think?

So how do you multiply by adding the signals again? How did adding result in multiplying? Also, what's the difference between mixing and multiplying?

The signals are multiplied by the non-linearity of the transistor: (a+b)^2 will yield a * b therms!
