From Aug. 7-9, 2024, the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security, Department of Fire Services, and Municipal Police Training Committee hosted an Active Shooter Incident Management training led by @C3Pathways. During three days of instruction, case studies, and exercises, 60+ public safety and emergency management professionals applied ICS, NIMS, and related principles to Active Shooter / Hostile Event Response scenarios consistent with NFPA 3000, our statewide ASHER framework.
Great work by the integrated, interdisciplinary group of students, who represented EOPSS, DFS, State Police, and local police, fire, EMS, dispatch, and emergency management personnel from Agawam, Ashland, Athol, Canton, Carlisle, Dalton, Deerfield, Easthampton, Erving, Everett, Fitchburg, Holbrook, Holden, Huntington, Lee, Lexington, Lynn, Manchester-by-the-Sea, Marblehead, Massport, Medford, Merrimac, Natick, New Braintree Regional Dispatch, Newburyport, North Andover, North Shore Regional 911, Oakham, Salisbury, Sherborn, South Hadley, Templeton, Tewksbury, Truro, Uxbridge, WESTCOMM Regional Dispatch, Westfield, Wilbraham RECC, and Yarmouth.
