Michael Caine was so humble oh my god but he's unfortunately totally right. Haley Joel Osment, Jude Law and Michael Clarke Duncan were way deserving.

I mean… why do they have to apologize? If they won, it’s not their fault! Maybe they didn’t deserve it, but they didn’t choose to win! It’s a nice gesture to acknowledge other actors’ works, but apologizing to have won? Strange custom to me.

Nobody "should" be forced to appologize for freaking winning! If they do - they do, fair and square! If they don't - well...it's their freaking prerogative and one one else's! Nobody should take these rare occuring acts of modesty for granted! Whether the reward was deserved or not besides the point, they didn't cheat or had to break some kind of rule to get it, so if the academy decides to give the award to less deserving winner - it's on them, not on actor who got it! If someone has to appologize, it's the academy members...for actor to appologize for winning is fucking stupid!
@Summon256

I'll paraphrase that last part of what i said in my previous message before it gets more confusing! I meant to say - "Blaming actor for not appologizing for winning is fucking stupid" not the fact itself that he chose to appologize for winning is fucking stupid! Hope this clear things up...
