Ezra is so quirky. I only know him from "Trainwreck." He was perfect in that movie. Ezra might have some kind of chemical imbalance. I feel bad for him. He seems to be his own worst enemy. He's too young for his career to be over. I really don't think he was intentionally being an a-hole. I do think there's something medically and/or psychologically and/or emotionally wrong with him. Or, maybe it was too much success too soon and he was overwhelmed. He also seems to be trying to find himself. We should offer him grace and hope he's properly diagnosed, then cared for. I would welcome him back to the industry. I think he's super talented and deserves a 2nd chance.

C'mon, man... it wasn't funny because no one in the history of the planet Earth has ever referred to fortune cookie packaging as "an Asian wrapper." Likewise, "a white rapper--not that thing a butcher uses for cuts of meat" isn't very funny for the same reason (But your joke is actually a little funny because people _do_ sometimes actually call it a white wrapper... and honestly, congratulations, you crafted a better joke than Jamie Kennedy could!) And if "Asian Wrapper" was an actual term that _anyone_ ever used for _anything,_ his joke might have been kinda funny! The only offense I take from it is that this supposed comedian is just lame and couldn't manage to form an actual joke. Just making a reference to the guy's ethnicity as some kind of punchline in place of making an actual joke is both lazy _and_ in poor taste. ("Asian wrapper" doesn't mean anything, so... is the fact that he's Asian supposed to be the joke? Huh?) I mean, do you _honestly_ find his poor attempt at a joke to be actually _funny?_ I mean really honestly? I don't consider the "joke" to be racist or anything like that (too many people these days accuse others of "racism" without seeming to understand what racism actually means) but it was certainly stupid, tasteless, and unfunny.

The Minnie Driver one makes no sense. It's quite clear to me that her statement was meant to be complimentary towards the UK - where unlike the US, looks are not a prerequisite for a woman to be successful as an actress. She was never "cancelled" for this, it was just a bunch of Americans not even understanding the concept of a film industry outside their own where a woman does not have to be beautiful to be successful - therefore interpreting her statement as some sort of implication Dench should not be as famous as she is because she is not beautiful, because that's how it works in their world.
@Nystariii
2 ай бұрын
Complimentary my ass. She was being insulting as hell by insinuating that looks should trump talent. Why else point out how Dench looks in comparison to playing one of the (subjectively) most beautiful women of history? The fact she implied Judi Dench wouldn't be able to handle American audiences is just compounding that she absolutely meant it as a put down. Meanwhile what has Minnie done, before or after, that remotely comes close to Dame Dench's decade spanning career? She was the Bond girl to Dench's M.

But you're right that it didn't hurt Lowe's career. He still went on to do many notable things in Hollywood and is still in the spotlight. He is even a likable dude. Yeah its crazy sometimes. You're drunk in a bar, you pick a girl, who's drunk too, which has fake I.D, and somehow you're supposed to magically know she's a year or two younger than the legal age.

i dunno people... is James Franco really any different than the 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 actors, politicians (basically any man with fame and money) that came before him (pun intended)? know listen, I don't know all the details, but being a bit aggressive with the ladies does not necessarily equal sexual assault. it reminds me of the Russel Brand situation. does a guy deserve to have his entire livelihood destroyed for being a bit old-fashioned with a lady? meanwhile Roman Polanski has all of Hollywood kissing his slimy butt despite committing a REAL assault against a VERY young girl (I think she was around 14 ??!!!!) HYPOCRISY and PHONIES ARE EVERYWHERE IN HOLLYWOOD

The Oscars allowing him to claim his Oscar allowing him to dance and celebrate on stage as well as the audience giving him a standing ovation is a horrible moment Will Smith never should have kept his Oscar He should never have been allowed to stay He should have been expelled immediately after doing that The Oscars have lost any credibility as has been documented it is a campaign to get an Oscar not always an acknowledgment of skill when you send presents to people to get them to vote for you It's not a true award. And the Oscars have a history of allowing people to keep their Oscar no matter how horrible their behavior is I will never watch another Oscars let alone Will Smith. And one last statement I doubt he would have done that to John Cena or Dwayne Johnson as the saying goes pick on somebody your own size.

Alex did himself a favor. Instead of getting swallowed by the hollywood machine now with more obscure projects he can really be an actor. Thats something no A lister gets. An education.

I was just shocked and let down by his behavior. also gained a lot of new found respect for chris rock
