I loved this session. I will be starting my own soon. This is great for reviewing the game rules.

Really like the time you took to explain how the crew come together instead of just throwing the group into the game. This kind of deep background makes players really care about their characters.

I'll be running Traveller again this year so it's nice to see it played here and to be able to compare style and interpretation.

The African American travel guide. I had no idea it existed until I watched Lovecraft Country. Was enlightening.

That series was such a great combo of Pulp horror and AA history.

I hadn't heard of it either. Unfortunately, I can understand the demand. A less positive version of the Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy.

Thanks for the kind words, HOOS! If you mean which print books, the sources I used for this included the 2022 Core Rulebook, the Trojan Reach book from the Pirates of Drinax slipcase set, and some of the Starports info from the 2e Traveller Companion and a MGT 1e book called Starports. In prepping for the second session, I also made great use of some of the TAS Journals that have recently come out and a terrific MGT 1e sourcebook called 1,001 Characters. If you mean digital tools, we are using Roll20's official Traveller 2e sheet for the game. Hope this helps and thanks, again! :)

Cool stuff. I've always been a bit interested in Traveller since I first learned about from the Lord Weird Slough Feg album of the same name. But since high fantasy is what I'm mostly into, I never put in any effort to check it out. This lets me see what it's like.

What kinds of aliens can you play in this game?
@DungeonMusings

In the core book, I believe that there are two alien species (the wolf-like Vargr and the lion-like Aslan), but there are several "Alien Guide" supplements that expand on those options (and detail variants of humans that were seeded by the Ancients in different part of the Galaxy).

At first I thought you had 10 players and almost turned this off immediately 😂
