From the Acustica Audio Facebook Group: "Let's try again to clearly explain the differences between AMBER 4 and AMBER 4 ULTRA. Firstly, AMBER 4 ULTRA is a different product from AMBER 4. AMBER 4 is free for all AMBER 3 users. Key differences of AMBER 4 compared to AMBER 3 include an improved compressor, less erratic than before. We've added preamplifiers, enhanced the overall sound of these preamps, and worked to eliminate ringing effects. We also resolved several bugs and introduced plugin resizing and numeric entry. Now, regarding AMBER 4 ULTRA: This is not a free product, but AMBER users can purchase it with an additional coupon, which can be combined with their LOYAL COUPONS for a discount. AMBER 4 ULTRA offers improved graphics and a better workflow, such as displaying equalization curves or compressor curves. All preamps in this version come with an ULTRA option and have enhanced anti-aliasing, leading to superior sound quality even when ultra mode is not engaged. The equalizer has been completely resampled, using the techniques employed in Cherry, Cardinal, and Salt. This not only makes it lighter but also much more precise. The new techniques also prevent roll-off accumulation, meaning activating multiple EQ bands doesn't compound low-frequency roll-off, particularly beneficial in mastering. Both ULTRA and the standard version feature numeric input, eliminating the need for a separate mastering version. AMBER ULTRA's equalizer is not only precise but allows for exact dB value input for both gain and frequency, making it suitable for both mixing and mastering. It remains linear up to 0 Hz and can adapt to any music genre. We've found that AMBER ULTRA's curves are closer to the original machine and feel more analog. Both versions allow for continuous frequency values, though this may create a minor, non-audible artifact visible in spectrum analyzers when using a tight Q. If this bothers you, the digital modes, where this phenomenon is absent, can be used instead. The transient behavior closely matches the original machine in Hyper mode." - Giancarlo Del Sordo, CEO, Acustica Audio

At 9:33 I incorrectly stated that Amber Ultra's equalizer is tube based. It is in fact 100% class A solid state.
