Played on a real Intellivision III console on the hardest difficulty.
Well it started out as a pretty mediocre run. I actually didn't figure out until after this run that re-attacking an enemy after retreating does not offer any extra experience. I unknowingly wasted about a minute early on in the run doing this very thing. However, you could argue that all that nonsense waste of time was necessary RNG manipulation for finding the Midas book later on =D
The plan for this run was to level up my war strength as much as possible and pass through the blue gate to distribute some of that to magic strength. I went through it with much lower experience than I wanted but after some lucky pickups, our magic strength was nice and high. But at 8 points, war strength was now the big problem... until I found the Midas book! I figured if I used it to level my weapons and defenses extremely high, I wouldn't need to level my strength at all... and I was right!
And so, just like our speedrun of Easy, the Midas book turns a below average run into a godly one. I will not be attempting to beat this. Final time is 17:29.95
