They announced yesterday that their guitarist Saki has quit the band. This is a very sad time for us as nemophila fans… btw, thanks for your reaction.

Japan is full of amazing talent, so hopefully it will work out like it did for Lovebites. Like with Miho, I wish nothing but the best for Saki.

@@pastorbrentreacts Well.. I believe she didn't like the direction they were heading... So she deicided to focus on her own career. She did just release an instrumental. In the summer she's going to do a concert, with Hana from Gacharic spin and Senri Kawaguchi, who for sure is one of the best female drummers.. if not the best? Senri is also a good friend of Tamu Murata of Nemophila. I believe some more are supposed to be added. If they aren't already?

Nemophila - "baby blue eyes" flower, "Rurikarakusa" in Japanese; grows in N-America and is appreciated in Japan (see "Hitachi Seaside Park"). The band was formed in 2019, originally as a "session" brought together by... Mayu - the vocalist (ex- Lipstick band); Haraguchi-san - (ex- HöLDERLINS band) bass, backing vocals, was Mayu's friend and colleague from Music College; Tamu Murata - drums, backing vocals, one the most respected session musician in Japan (countless bands), with also her own original carrier; she's also the wife of Akira Yamaoka, musician/composer, known especially for his videogames OSTs, in particular for "Silent Hill"; Saki (ex - "Mary's Blood" band for a decade, "Destrose", and others), she's a "young sacred monster" in J-metal) guitar, backing vocals, and... Hazuki (KOIAI "Dark Indigo" / Li-sa-X, Disqualia bands) - guitar, backing vocals; both, Saki and Hazuki have a lot of experience. Nemophila made an amazing fandom impression during the pandemic, thru KZitem clips... ...so far about 50 Western/Japanese awesomely bonkers covers, and about 40 original, freakishly insane good songs (singles, EPs - including the JPURecords' Extended Edition of "Oiran", 3 albums - "Revive", "Seize The Faith", "Evolve"). Discography, alphabetical order: 01. ADABANA - 徒花 - "Fruitless/seedless flower" 02. ALIVE 03. AMA-TE-RAS (Amaterasu goddess) 04. Another Story (ballad) 05. A Ray Of Light 06. Back into the wild 07. Blooming 08. Breaking Out 09. Change the World 10. Creature 11. DISSENSION 12. Enigma 13. ENTEN - 炎天 - "Scorching/blazing heat/sun" 14. Fighter 15. GAME OVER (ballad) 16. Hammer Down 17. Hōzuki - 鬼灯 - "Demon Light" - "Winter cherry" / "Japanese lantern" plant 18. HYPNOSIS 19. Justice 20. Life (ballad - their "official anthem") 21. MONSTERS 22. Night Flight (electro-rock song, one of their firsts, used as half-time breakout) 23. now I here (ballad) 24. ODYSSEY (ballad) 25. OIRAN - "Courtesan" (their first original song, in february 2020) 26. OSKR - "OShiKuRa manju" (children's song-game of pushing outside of a circle) 27. RAITEI - 雷霆 - "Thunder" 28. REVIVE 29. RISE 30. Rock’n’Roll Is? (an homage to famous rock bands/artists; the lyrics/melody and style of play are Easter Eggs) 31. Rollin’Rollin’ 32. Seize the Faith 33. Soaring ~to be continued~ (instrumental) 34. SORAI - "Autumn wind" (was supposed to be the original name for the band) 35. STYLE 36. - 群青 37. Waiting for you 39. YELL 〜軌跡〜 ("Kiseki - Trajectory", ballad) 39. ZEN ________ - Another Story... written during the pandemic, with the purpose of lifting the spirit; performed only once on stage for a live stream at the end of December 2020... but - according to Saki - "it's part of 'Cheer to Art, Tokyo Project' (started by Tokyo Metropolitan Government to offer place for artists to upload their work...since all lives, concerts, events and exhibitions had been suspended, all venues had been closed"; was posted on KZitem, on this governmental channel: アートにエールを!【音楽 1ch】; although is no longer there, there are some reactions to it, just search "NEMOPHILA / AnotherStory". It's also kept on WebArchive: watch?v=WWSFd4N4pjU - Creature, Ultramarine... not part of any official release, but they are performed sometimes in concerts. - Breaking Out... released only during their first live stream in 2020, and performed sometimes in concerts; - Blooming... released only on the official Nemophila KZitem channel, and performed sometimes in concerts. ___________________________

Ok, I made a good choice, thank you. Currently, Japan is a treasure trove of girl metal bands that are not found in the West. I'm looking forward to Nemophila's reaction, as well as LoveBites and the comical Hanabie NEMOPHILA official live performances and cover songs by past European and American bands are all wonderful. Hello, greetings from Japan

The Japanese music scene is incredible, glad you discovered Nemophila and Band Maid. I’ll make some suggestions: Hanabie-Lovely Otaku Densetsu, Lovebites-Judgement Day, Gacharic Spin-Replica, Palene0-Alive, and East of Eden-Evolve.

Cool reaction.👍 Make no mistake, these girls' music is hard and heavy, but they are sweet and cute... and almost unbearably polite and girly.😶
