I was actually in a REALLY bad spot. Depression hitting and hitting HARD but then this song played and reminded me we will be fine. So while it does'nt SEEM to written with a deeper meaning I think it's safe to say a deeper meaning can be taken from it.

Vive Le Rock is my favorite Adam Album. It bombed critically and commercially during its initial release but contemporary reviews have been far more kind. It was ahead of its time as it sounded like alternative rock from the 90's.

Great album. Adam Ant hired Tony Visconti as the producer as he wanted him to "stick the T.Rex button in" as he described it. Visconti later said that Adam sounded like Marc Bolan in a few of the songs.

Such an amazingly fun song to sing along with! I loved the whole album. I recently saw a photo of Adam standing in front of the Apollo 9 capsule. I'm presuming it was at Smithsonian, or perhaps Johnson Space Center. I thought that was really super cool!

Omg, adam is SO fine, had a crush on him since the 80's when I was in HS, still think he's major sexy... those cheekbones oohlala. Had no one to share my interest at the time so FINALLY it's great to read about others who appreciate his awesome cool image and creative songs. Saw him in an episode of Tales From the Darkside once and always wished he'd have done more acting.

I missed out on Adam ant (born '81 but had no mtv) but I love his music. I feel weird being a straight dude that admires what thus guy did in the '80s. He has a charisma that can make anything sexy. If I had half what he projected id never be single. Also silly as this song is its fucking cool as hell. He has that ability. Rocking country jeans, punk type boots, rockabilly hair, and a pink lined space suit and still manly as hell. I'm sure the band aid on the face is just an accessory.

Where where you when you discovered him? I was 2 years before MTV, you had to know someone who knew someone who had a record or a cassette tape back then. I was in San Fransisco area, and completely unsupervised . My sister was 8, I was 12. I had figured out early on that the "bad kids" were s lot friendlier and less judgemental. I could go to the library and do my thing. If I wanted to make friends, the "bad kids" ( they weren't) were behind the library.

I had been in the sanfransisco area for a couple years, moved around a lot on that area, made friends with the "big kids". ( I was 2 years younger than other kids in my classes) he was kind of a lifeline.

Kid, you have a lot of things to catch up on! Bear in mind, some of his early stuff, there was no mtv. There were no videos. You might get audio only. I love that you love his music, but don't limit yourself. Adam (Stuart Goddard) ant speaks french, and he has multiple influences. Im so glad the kids of this generation still are interested in him. Look up Kings of the wild frontier, antmusic, but don't forget your homework.

I'm almost 25, first discovered him when I was 12 and love it but it seems that he wasn't really famous in France, everything I ask someone who was a teen or older back in the 80s, people tell me they've never heard about him ! I'm glad we can find all of this old stuff in the internet even if the internet is quite evil... 80s were the best, wish I was born sooner !

Working on my grandchild corruption musical list. Also includes the Ramones and whatever else is age appropriate for a 3 year old. I play all that stuff while we are having fun and playing together. My legacy from my grandmother was music, and diverse musical tastes, and cooking. Im lucky that I'm a young enough nahnah that I can still chase him around the playground and actually play with him. We do old french jazz when we draw or paint, and old punk when we cook. Neo swing or non Marley for babies when it's nap time. When you die, all that people really have is memories of you. I don't plan on dying anytime soon, but other than experiences, there's nothing else that can't be taken from you. So, memories first. Experiences first.

Adam Ant is a Scorpio like me. I remember seeing A.A. on early Mtv and being blown away by this uniquely handsome Brit. His penetrating eyes really do mesmerize. This was the last track I remember Adam Ant releasing and getting some success.He went through so many changes back then in a short period of time.By this record he wasn’t as big as he was with the ants.But a fun song and the last I see sing on Top of the Pops.Next time I see Adam Ant,was in 1986 playing a bad guy on an episode of ‘The Equalizer’,with the late,great Edward Woodward.

Adam can pull gibberish off like Shakespeare. He's often overlooked or dismissed. Saw him in Anaheim, yeah, on his old age, he's phoning it in... Tony Visconti really captured AA on this record. Great job.

This is one of my favorite eras from Adam Ant. As a hardcore Adam Ant fan in the 80's, I was so happy he moved on from the "Strip" phase and went into this!
