@AgainstTheSystem .ATS that's not really how it works. NK really is an authoritarian shithole... but we must understand and acknowledge the context of a "revolutionary government", which is the political structure of most socialist states on the world stage. Basically, such a nation is at war with (Western) capitalism, "the bourgeoisie", etc, and thus the rules of war are considered fair game and good governance. I can't really say whether or not this martial law would _definitely_ persist into the glorious socialist future, following the true victory of the proletariat, because we have no hard data on that; capitalism has not been and probably never will be destroyed. crap where was I... whatever. none of that excuses atrocities, but I hope it puts things in perspective.

The Greens are the least likely to flip-flop on policies out of all the parties, and unlike the major two actually stand by their principles. Open borders is not even nearly as unsustainable as what it's costing to lock men, women and children up in offshore detention - which is, by the way, a purely political move to appease the vast numbers of racists in this country. It would cost far less to allow refugees into the country and give them a chance to work.

@Donald Clark Just because you don't experience something yourself, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Sexism in politics is a huge problem that is gradually getting better thanks to initiatives by progressives such as Hanson-Young. Regression into ad. hom. attacks means your rationality is being blinded by your emotions. Try taking a few deep breaths before your next debate. And fyi, I've lived in rural and outback places most of my life.

Adam Bandt - you're the man! Really admire the courage of you and the Juice media team to stand up against the group of afraid beings pretending to be our "government". I dont think Australia has ever really had a government. Unfortunately we have turned into a police state socialism and before long will probably turn into a communism - something my grandfather courageously fought back in the day in a war to try to prevent. It is true that it will only be single brave individuals and small brave groups who will be the catalyst for positive change. I just hope these "little people and small groups" will find the courage and strength to bring these positive changes we desperately need.

Three words: THE TRUTH HURTS!!! Do not lose your rights to free speech! The government IS OUR EMPLOYEE, politicians are PUBLIC SERVANTS, and therefore have no legal right to legislate without public consensus. If this carries on' the tail that wags the dog currently, will take all our rights to freedom and all will live in total subservience when it should be the other way round.

It's December 2020 and this just appeared among my KZitem recommendations. I'm really curious if the bill passed. Of course if it had, The Juice Media videos would probably include a joke where the the spokesmodels would say that they aren't really from the government and that would be the best joke in the video.
@xenuno
3 жыл бұрын
The bill did pass apparently but excluded “Australians who do this 'solely for genuine satirical, academic or artistic purposes'. So the remnant passed is nothing more than a duplication of existing (I assume) fraud penalties from what I've read. I think Australia needs a revolution as does the US.

If you can confuse a joke video with an actual government ad, there might be a problem with the government. Because it means that the government can only be taken as seriously as the JuideMedia ads. I think it's embarrassing. By the way: Thank you JuiceMedia for the most ambivalent videos ever! It's extremely funny, and at the same time it's extremely worrying...
