You're 100% correct. I am no longer a practicing Christian but one cannot help but observe that Christians are the most verbally attacked and marginalized group in North America today.

I agree, the death penalty needs to be reserved exclusively for when someone is unquestioningly guilty (not "oh I'm sure" but more like, on video, confessed, 300 witnesses, DNA) and the criminal is unequivocally irredeemable. Then the execution needs to be immediate, not a month, not a week, that day or the next. I'm simply disgusted by all these innocent men being set free from death row because 30 years ago when they were wrongly convicted there was no DNA testing.

It blows my mind how my fellow atheist/agnostics defend Islam to the bone (not to name names Coughlan)

I don’t think Adam would characterize himself as a right wing nut. If he followed the party line on every issue out there, I’d agree with that moniker. However, Adam actually has quite a few liberal beliefs that separate himself from your typical hardcore Republican. For example: 1. He’s referred to himself as an atheist. Most Republicans, from my experience, believe in a higher power. 2. He’s for gay marriage. 3. He’s for the legalization of marijuana.

I believe we call a terrorist, it doesn't make a difference who they are or what set of beliefs they ascribe to. It doesn't do us any favors protecting one class of people because they're "historically marginalized" or "victims of an oppressive western culture", it's just a nice way to blur the distinction between a right action and a wrong action. A child molester who goes on to molest children is still a child molester, there shouldn't be that much breathing room or case by case sympathy.
