All the puppet videos that Adam has done has done has made my admiration of puppeteers grow so much. I was clueless to just how physical it was.

It’s funny, but when you were demonstrating what the puppeteer has to do, I saw why your own puppet (in the “Referee” bit) kept drooping. Those puppeteers are so use to keeping they arm high and straight that it’s almost second nature.

And to think there are people out there who think puppeteering is the Most basic form of Entertainment. Adam's sheer admiration, respect and curiosity is what makes all of his videos visiting different places/vocations so wholesome, inspirational and awesome!

It is the most basic, yet the most complex. That’s what makes it beautiful.

1:12 Adam! That magenta KZitem compression artefact is fascinating. It seems to my layman eyes that somehow KZitem transcoding couldnt resolve if it were supposed to be blue or red(ish) and just left it empty from which our brain creates the non-natural existing color of magenta. You have to make a video about this, I wanna know all the details

Please. Puppet Up represents everything I care most about. It is also geographically and financially out of my grasp. Please never stop these videos about the making of. Also - if you can apply any influence whatsoever, could they make this a ticket I can buy from here in Texas? A live Show over the internet? This is so incredibly desirable to consume - that it's basically a source of regret and sorrow - I doubt I'll ever get to see it live. In a universe that would have been perfect for my skills, interests, talents, and fascinations - this would have been a thing 35, 40 years ago that I could have auditioned for. Sorry I kind of dumped all my personal baggage onto my comment. Please keep this series coming, there isn't a subtle nuance or inside baseball detail that I don't want to see. Please keep bringing this to those who can't get to it! I've been a huge follower of your channel for many years, nothing you've brought us has been quite such specifically targeted greatness for my own experience!

Do you know how it feels from South Africa? 😂 I will never be able to see the show! A $ costs me R20 - roughly so yeah, travel and watching shows is not a realistic option.

Adam, to me you are the inheritor of Mr. Rogers title as the most enthused and gentle educator who easily makes art and craft compelling and fascinating and i hope you appreciate the depth of this accolade

As this video starts, it's so easy to assume, okay, multiple puppeteers, and then my jaw dropped once I realized it's not that at ALL. It's such fun to see how all this works, both onstage and backstage!

I'm a big Paul Rugg fan, and when he was in Puppet Up it was so new, it was called Stuffed and Unstrung and they had skits posted to youtube. It was so funny, I wish they were still up. I guess Paul had other things he wanted to work on so he didn't stay with the cast. I loved seeing him do improv, he used to be in Groundlings before he wrote for Animaniacs and started his career as a cartoon writer.

It's a bummer how puppeteering is so underrated compared to how it used to be. There have been so many movies where I could literally see the CG and if the studio had held off on the newer tech and had instead gone with something a bit more old school I'd have been able to stay in the moment. Sometimes its simple things like slowing down the frames or speeding them up... other times its as simple as rotating the camera, lol. Then again you have movies that wow me with the majesty of the character so I don't care they are CG. It's certainly a balancing act.

Does anyone know if puppet up travels or tours? Or do they only do shows in one place? Google isn't helping and their website doesn't seem to say.

I've been a fan of the Henson Co. and their puppet work for the longest time, so this series has been great. I also just really appreciate the respect and admiration Adam shows not just for the puppeteers in this series, but for really any professional he interviews on this channel.

Wow. He's so good at what he does, the first time they showed the dance I just assumed there were multiple puppeteers dancing around with copies of the same puppet. It was funny, but I had no idea what a feat it was until I found it was all just a loop of one guy.
