The guy in the background loses against a guy with one hand... interesting.

I m amazed by this match, it's like 30+ to 0 point, Pawel was so passive on any point.

How is this guy a black belt? I saw his Gi match from last year. He's like a blue belt.

@@Rajiujitsu206 Yeah, I thought maybe no-gi just wasn't his game until I saw the gi match. I do realize their are levels at black belt - but it was a bit shocking. Could just be that he doesn't compete much and the brain and body weren't working together those days. Who knows.

@@Rajiujitsu206 I don't know the guy, but it's hard to look like a proper black belt, not to mention show your attacking game, when you're facing Wardziński, or (in the last year's video) Rafigaev :) Not getting tapped by Wardziński is already something, for an average competitor There's only one more video of this guy on YT - his match against one Alexander Neufang - which he actually won, demonstrating legitimate control and pressure (if not speed). This Neufang is apparently a pro MMA fighter, so he can't be a pushover either.

@@Rajiujitsu206 yeah well maybe, but still somehow not everyone manages to pull it off against him ;) and even so, it's not really fair to judge someone to be "like a blue belt" by his peformance against top class athletes like Rafigaev or Wardziński, who's strictly speaking world class actually, he tapped out Leandro Lo this year ffs :) the depth of levels in this sport is insane, take John Combs for example, the guy is an extremely strong competitor and certainly noone could say he's not a legit black belt, and yet Lucas Lepri still ran circles around him, beating him 45:0 (!), not even letting him score a single advantage :)

@@kill4foods I'm sorry did I hurt your feelings? You going to comment on everyone that makes a ridiculing statement on youtube? Bet you don't, You read comments and automatically think "ridicule". Honestly am I wrong in what i said? Was it a bit harsh? maybe but the fact remains pawel has a terrible showing in 2 matches that other people agree on, I dont see you going at them. GTFO with that shit. Someone hurt you my man, wasnt me move on.

@superman30814life well, Wardziński is not the most exciting competitor to watch, because he's got a fully developed system in place. it means that essentially all his matches follow the same technical pattern - unless someone really throws him a cog in the wheel, which doesn't happen often. i can't hold this against the guy - it's a competitive sport, not WWE, the point is to win, not to give a show. there are no points for style. but if someone who didn't know BJJ asked me to show them some exciting matches, i probably wouldn't start with Wardziński's : ) if you're interested in butterfly guard specifically, sure. personally i don't think many people can adapt it like he does (making a fundament of one's game out of it), because the efficiency of this guard is dependent on your body type. Wardziński has very good body type to play butterfly, it's not for everyone though. while he has mastered it, there's a reason why the guard is niche and rare at the top level overall.
