The story of Gilgamesh says it was a 'weed' that grew at a very great depth of water. The Greeks had the Ambrosia and the Jews had Mana, two similar foods. I ate some weed once, but I don't think it made me immortal. My grandmother's Ambrosia was NOT going to make you live longer. And Mana...maybe someday.

Almost nailed it. Adapa was told by his father not to drink or eat the gods food pier so it wasn’t his choice it was more like his father’s.

Do normal people really want to be immortal in this world? Living long enough to see everyone you do and will care about leave and being unable to follow seems like a nightmare.

I wouldn’t be hurt except for the animals, but if I have immortality, then I know that I have wisdom and powers so I would make my reality manifest as the ones I love continue to live on with me in some way shape or form. They will never die.

Right? This world is so crazy, being immortal would be a punishment. Although you wouldn't watch loved one pass away according to the story. If Adapa would have eaten the food, then all humans would have been immortal. Not just Adapa

I agree that immortality is a absolute perfect ultimate nightmare and torment to living forever in this world and it can be boring in metaphysical way or seems all is senseless.its not a blissfull gift but a curse.to see everything you know love and understand or is familiar is crumbling into nothing where time has chance everything mercilessly into something new but not neccessarily into something better or tastefull in your eyes or judgement.the world become alienated from you over time as it send the message you don,t longer belong to this world.nobody see you a something they can recognise or related to as a mirror_effect because you don,t more anybody recognising or even liking!its purely sad and be a stranger in a reality you don,t anymore fit is terrible, thus is how i perveiving immortality!😮😮😮in ancient times people where mostly young when they died and therefore i can understand why ancients dreaming about immortality as a gift from the gods, but lamenting why death exist in the first place and came with mythical explainations!

That's how we know these are nothing more than myths. How do they have the power to create humans but not to form humans into a creation that better fits their desired outcomes?

If humans can manipulate animals to better serve humans, then why couldn't these mythological gods manipulate humans the same?

Does it matter if we know the name because in the story of Yashua, he just called his most high God the father and Moses was told his name is I am, so maybe it’s just an analogy or metaphor about each one of us

The bible says adam was not decieved. It alludes that Adam knowingly sinned because his love of woman was greater than his love of God, which appears to be true as we can see lust is the greatest temptation for most men. “King James Bible And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression” - 1 Timothy 2:14.
