I could benefit from one but I have a ecotric hammer but sometimes my bike can't make it up hills what are the laws for physically challenged people? I saw a law that says we can ride because of our limitations but I don't know about 4000 Watts I would like to make my bike at least 2000w so I can go up hills without dying. This can help a lot of people this is amazing thank you for making these. I doubt people can afford them I don't know if insurance will pay for them but that insurance really should pay for these they will pay for a wheelchair I'd way rather have my bike then a wheelchair any day I can't go 35 miles on a wheelchair. I could not have went through the woods and done all the things I did when I went camping without the bike this is amazing except probably not affordable for me.

Rode one for the first time this weekend. I’ve had cerebral palsy since birth, and ridden/used EVERYTHING adaptive wise. This thing absolutely RIPS. I have NEVER stumbled across a piece of equipment that moves like this. I cried when I hit my first berm. Technology has finally caught up to what I’ve wanted to be able to do for 20 years.

I wouldn't mind having fun on an adaptive ebike even though I'm not handicapped. Fun is fun no matter who you are.

The problem is the price. 15k for an ebike is not for everyone's pocket

That is exactly why I need more power are those illegal for people who have one leg like me? I pushed my bike a half a mile up a hill with a wagon after camping. Into the wind ecotric bicycles says it's not covered if it burns the motor up Let the motor was not hot it was the wire. I have to learn how to upgrade my bike
@Area13ebikes

I think as a disability device you can get away with the extra power. 😉

That looks amazing if he could adapt it for able bodied by adding paddles I think there would be a huge market for them 👍.
@ethangillese

These things start at $15k USD cause of all the extra labour, etc. Pretty out of range for most people, everyone I know who owns one is either sponsored or went through a non profit that specializes in adaptive sport. It’s amazing engineering, but if you’re able bodied and can ride a 2 wheel bike, that will always be the cheapest, simplest, easiest option. As soon as you add another wheel, ATV barricades become a problem, bike shops are confused and transportation becomes a pain. Speaking from personal experience. Plus, c’mon, there’s a huge gap for adaptive bikes in the market.

@@ethangillese 15k is way too much for the average person you are right about that mate, it would have to go into mass production before it would be at an acceptable price, but they would have to have lots of preorders before that could happen and it wouldn't because of the price, it's a bit of a paradox.

Fat tires change everything I had a 650 KLR Kawasaki enduro my dream bike and it just sucked to take off pavement. My fat tire Ebike is amazing even in sugar sand where my klr would dump you on your ear. Buy your ebike off a bike co not off ebay mine had a defect in the computer the wires were stripped now its taking me forever to get it working i got 50 miles from it and its broken a year now no one knows how to work on them only sell them as middle men. Ordered a new sine wave converter has 50 wires no schematic no english speaking help. :/ im upgrading my shop to start working on them looks like i will do that for a living to as no one is filling the void in a city of a million people.
